Once things are gained from devilry the one cohesive unit becomes separate but still together.

Like if a bunch of jews started robbing peoples houses and robbing them, the good jews can sit on the sidelines and say hey man, Im not doing it thats fucked!

Then when the bad jews bring over the stolen property to give to the good ones , they say wow thank you praise God.

If the group was honest there would be Jewish people on social media calling the other jews out. Obviously you know that it happens everyone knows it happens.

To me this seems like a threat toward democracy. When a groups religion is more important than the wholes government then the group becomes a terrorist for democary.

If all the jews stand around while a few give them special treats in a democracy then there would need to be some sort of hard cap on Jewish population of the democratic country or the country fails.

The percentage needed to fuck up the democracy is not high at all.

A point of clarification:  we don't behave as a cohesive unit.  

Other than that, I'm not disagreeing.  It's wrong to do the things you're describing.  The religion teaches an ideal which few follow.

Jews are trusted in positions of power and behind the scenes because we have proven ourselves, time and again, to be on the side of order, justice, and common good.  However... we are notorious rule breakers.   We're taught at an early age to be opportunists.  And loopholes are everywhere.

There are many different answers.  Most credit the cultural emphasis on education. While some say it's a miracle.   Some say that after the holocaust the ones who are left became extremely clever out of necessity.  Others say it's early indoctrination into a rigid religious institution which cultivates a willingness to work within other institutions.  "Integration not assimilation" as a guiding principle permits mobility.  We can tolerate being uprooted.

On a deeper level, when Jews are successful, the quality that typifies their Jewish identity is this.  Successful Jews are good listeners.  We're sensitive.  Like a dog's ears which immediately pivot towards the sound, we have a knack for detecting and expressing subtleties.  That's why we're successful in movie and music production.   We know how to setup a mood, and tell a story from various perspectives, because, that's how we learn and teach our religion.   But, the counter-examples are profound.  When a Jew is oblivious... we're very oblivious.
