What are your thoughts on Jett Franzén?

I recently came across Jett Franzén’s YouTube channel and I’m curious what people think about his ideas.

He talks about society, human behavior, existence, and deeper philosophical questions.

For those who have watched him, what is your honest opinion of his perspective and the questions he raises?

I think he is quite strong in his masculinity for his age.  Also he is quite rational but doesn’t come off as too close minded. He is lone-wolf type which is something I can relate to and probably one of the reasons I dig him as a social media profile. He had a video title “I have lived more in my head than real life”, and something else about having no friends or something at some point, basically what I based it on (otherwise I maybe would’ve assumed him to be more typically extrovert and socially involved). So him being able to convey himself in way that attracts audience in a genuine way not simply “click baity/rage-baity”, while being isolated a lot in his life, shows some depth there that he is able to perceive society while not necessarily having to be super involved. I wrote “convey himself” because that’s what people do it’s not just about what they say, but he is well articulated still and has shared points I’ve agreed with. I clicked on the video you shared after so that adds to my point about “lone wolf type” 

Idk how much he has been “out there” but he does challenge the idea that some have that you have to have been “out there” a lot in order to have valid enough, accurate or deep enough observations of society, “tendencies” etc (can be quite the opposite sometimes) 

Just some thoughts for now. I don’t think you need to watch someone that much to get impression that is still valid enough to share, imo

I can definitely see what you mean about the “lone wolf” aspect. I also agree that you don’t necessarily have to be deeply immersed in society to make meaningful observations about it.

I’m curious though, beyond his personality, what do you think are some of his strongest ideas or insights? Has anything he’s said genuinely changed the way you see society or existence?

No, I cant come up with anything in partiuclar in that regard, im not so good at remembering words unless it really stands out. He does focus on relevant important things tho in general it seems, not like those "rational" people that obsess over what I sometimes call "non-issues" in society such as "oh this one feminist (extreme minority that almost nobody in society agrees with anyways) said this one thing!!!!!" *30 min analysis*.

Maybe you could get a sense of what I mean, maybe not.

Yeah, I get what you mean. That’s actually one of the reasons I like him too. He doesn’t seem interested in chasing outrage or getting lost in pointless culture war stuff.

There’s something different about the way he looks at things. I just can’t quite put my finger on what it is yet.
