Has anyone dealt with locked Monero (XMR) on Kraken in Australia?

I’m wondering if anyone here has experience with crypto exchange restrictions in Australia, especially around Monero/XMR.

I have some XMR sitting in a Kraken account from years ago. Australia stopped supporting trading for Monero a long time back, which I already knew about, but I thought withdrawals to external wallets were still allowed.

Now I can still see the XMR balance in the account, but:

I can’t trade it

I can’t convert it

and XMR doesn’t even appear in the withdrawal list anymore

So I’m trying to figure out whether:

Kraken has now fully locked XMR withdrawals for Australian residents

or whether there’s some workaround / account issue / support process

I also can’t seem to get through to an actual human support person.

Has anyone dealt with something similar or know more about the current situation?

Last time I heard about Monero was years ago on some dark web forums. It's like the most private version of cryptocurrency if I'm not wrong. If it's still like that, that's probably why they blocked it. My guess is that it's still used for a bunch of shady stuff.
