Musical Muse

2 posts in this topic

The way a song floats, dancing within the conscious field, a phantom-like slipping-by, what exactly is it? Why do we find it so beautiful? Because it cannot be held?
Nothing can lock it into place?
If you could somehow lock a song's slipping notes into place would it no longer be music?
A tango of brief conscious arisal, momentarily held, to dissipate once more.

But what exactly is music?
Where exactly does it occur?

Why do we love to listen to the elapsing of it's disappearance?
Where do they notes come of?
Where do they go?
Why do they go?
What is the allurment of this passing?

How long can a tone be held before it is no longer music? How long can the space between notes last before it severs the steady flow?
What is it about this steady unsevered flow of severed bits & pieces that hooks us to it?

what is so special about it?

Does music seem to have a spacial quality to it?
Where is this space?
Occuring in abstract conscious being?
A lullaby to lure you into sleep?
Or a beautiful berceuse in order to pull you out of slumber?
How softly can a song be played before the underlying silence becomes music too?
Silence: the eternal orchestra?
The never ending music?

I am the looker but it is not I

There are never any answers, only ever more questions. But is that the answer may I ask?

Only diamond edge can cut diamond.

@No1Here2c If you dont have silence you dont have music. Its just random sounds.
