@Mellowmarsh  sure, i´m aware enough to practice this.. i mean like daily routines.. what do you do to ground yourself... besides the inner work

What I do to ground myself is I tend to keep calm and carry on. That’s all I do, and it’s not even a practice, it’s effortless and light, there’s zero baggage, my life is empty and weightless now.

In other words I never forget to tend my garden.

@Mellowmarsh I think she is asking a very important question. How to reconcile absolute truths with relative practical life ?

an example would be the clarity that all that is real is this present moment here and now . There is no actual past or future.. yet we are forced to believe in a past and future to navigate our practical lives like in a job or a college you have dates and duties and responsibilities which depend on time .

she is asking about hobbies but the title is saying “ maintaining sanity “ though .

"When you get very serious about truth you accept your life situation exactly as it is. So much so that you aren't childishly sitting around wishing it were otherwise. If you were confined to a wheelchair you would just accept it as how reality is. Just as you now just accept that you are not a bird who can fly."

Okay, but is that knowledge written above, an absolute truth, in your opinion, or is just something you believe?

It’s not a belief. It can be tested directly.

I wonder what she means by that? It’s unclear, it’s as if distraction is needed to maintain one’s sanity of knowing absolute truth. IDK.

I define basic common sense as awareness of individuality. No one can deny their individuality, can they?

Okay, so are you suggesting that the real is directly tested as being this immediate unwritten here and now?

for me, direct experience...

i don´t know if i´m being a fool, but in my opinion it´s quite hard to see someone talking about these ideas if they aren´t directly Conscious of it

We do because we’re conditioned to believe there is an individual doer.

And in that case, every action is comparable to a hobby, even doing nothing all day can be someone’s hobby. Lol

Too reductionistic. We do because we need or want as well .

example of need: going to work to pay the bills .

example of want: we take a walk in the park with headphones on to uplift our mood.

So you realized separation is illusory and the separate self is illusory and you are wondering how to live your practical life after knowing this ?

Its not illusory, it's real, but you can dissolve the separation expanding your mind without limits then being limitless. If your mind is limitless is one with what is, there is no difference.

But same time, you are a separate individual . So you could say that doing it the reality perceives itself from the dual structure of a living organism, that is an universe that operates in another universe, separate from it but same time being part of it.

There is nothing mysterious or mystic, it's just the reality unfolding

For me, it’s pointless to talk about this to those people not conscious of it. Sanity for me, is keeping it to myself, with the exception of people of the same ilk. Like here on this forum.

Sanity for me, is being able to bear & endure solitude. That’s where the real beauty of me is discovered, it’s heaven actually.

We do because there’s the belief in an individual doer. It’s that simple. That’s the problem of knowledge, of knowing you know, the curse of being conscious, of being aware.
