is selfishness a byproduct of self abandonment?

recently i had this insight: is it possible that by abandoning ourselves (in subtle ways that we´re not really aware of) we begin to resent ourselves and become selfish? like we´re being selfish to ourselves by denying our true nature to be expressed in the world and it reflects on the way we treat people and how we show up in the world...

been thinking a lot about this lately and i would love to know some of your thoughts on this topic... Thanks

Yes. You love another no more than you love yourself. If someone appears to have greater love for another, then it's a weak form of love like admiration, affection, attention-seeking or alikeness. So self-love is huge. And loving another should bring you to a higher plane out of which you love yourself all the more.

If you were not selfish you would be dead.

Selfishness is the precondition for your biological existence.

if Consciousness can imagine whatever it wants into existence, why did it imagine me exactly the way i am and not something else? i´ve been sitting with this for a while and it´s so hard putting into words the sensation of exploring this, i hope someone out there also relates to this

It crafted the entire universe and the entire history so that you could take form. God wanted your unique perspective through which to view life. There was never anyone like you and never will be again. Use your innings well. God has your back. You incarnated to do great things. Most don't achieve their potential of course. Don't be most.

isn´t it crazy to think that most don´t achieve their potential? why would Consciousness imagine into existence a reality where most people don´t get to realize they are God???

Consciousness imagines every form, potentiality and limitations, hence the life you are living right now. Since everything is God, God wants to experience every possible limitation and to pretend that it's not God. This is actually a beautiful thing. Just living as a organism or human being is what God wants to experience. Realizing God is like spoiling a movie in a sense, the point is to watch the movie and to think that it's real.

okay, i can see that but at the same time have you ever wondered why it´s kinda hard to find people who also see this these days? why does it have to be like this? why realizing God couldn´t be easier? lol 

ps: have you ever wondered how Consciousness could´ve dreamed up your life at any moment in time but it chose exactly this moment we´re living in ? i keep thinking about these things.. and i also don´t experience any coincidences in my life....
