Monster Energy

Are we actually chasing a feeling, or the absence of lack?

Something I’ve been thinking about lately.

When people talk about wanting a really strong orgasm, it sounds like the goal is just the intensity of the feeling. But when I look at the experience itself, what seems most appealing is that moment where the mind just stops for a second and everything feels complete.

It’s like for that brief moment there’s no sense that anything is missing.

So now I’m wondering if what we’re really chasing isn’t the orgasm itself, but that moment where the feeling of lack disappears.

Has anyone else noticed something like this?

Yes. God is smart. He gives us lots of paths. The ancients discovered meditation from sex. That is how tantra was discovered. The peak gives a peek. Good meditation is not so different from good sex. The practice becomes to extend the bliss into every waking moment. Awareness, empathy and presence replacing selfishness, vulnerability and reactivity.
