The most important initial step to awakening

Is this - see your visual field as one solid block. Not comprised of components. Defocus your gaze if it helps. That's it.

Thanks for sharing, if i were to chime in and help this, i would say: The most important initial step "i believe" to awakening is... or IMO.

There are infinite ways of awakening and there is no one or more or less important things or steps or way, just our unique interpretation of it. Maybe for "you" it may be, but for others it may not.

Just a little reminder on how we can better frame our sudden realizations, and not always make such absolute statements, as there is more than enough such statements going around on these forums which i feel only create more confusion loops.

Hope this helps :)

I am but a reflection... a mirror... of you... of me... in a cosmic dance ~ of a unified mystery...

This is all true and I agree, enlightenment is a mountain range and not a single peak. Sometimes all we have to do is pause and think about something a little more and then we can phrase it a lot better.

That is part of it? i guess? like... I mean, if you mean "alone in a room; A sudden realization of...", how is it possible to contrast "self" from "self" in that circumstance... ... I mean, its pretty hard. But hey, its hard even not from that perspective, so its not like you are *wrong. Its really hard to speak on. We struggle to *point within the right direction, the right path. That is technically what you feel so strongly about. I dont doubt that its one of, if not the strongest places TO point to, if that makes sense. Like, to say it any deeper is to go down a rabbit hole where everyone is likely gonna jus gonna be like "what on earth is this man talking about", like... ha. Its one of those things, where you cross an invisible line -typeve thing. But yes, the more simplified, down to earth, jus like, give-it-to-em rough-n-raw is somethin akin to "see oneness, everything one"

(p.s. when i say "..ppl thinkin ur crazy", i meant to implicate myself as the crazy pers., as i am~no doubt, consistently and habitually, stepping over that line, habitually trying to describe the undescribable, going against everything and everyone. So i dont mean to point at any one person, except for myself; As well as anyone else who might want to be the bird's prey so to speak.)

Paraphrase from Poimandres (Corpus Hermeticum): "... that which is in the Word is also in ourselves."

Greek Magical Papyri (PGM): "I call upon the Word of the All, that which binds heaven and earth, and let it manifest in the circle."

Plato – Cratylus (439–440): "A name is a likeness of the thing itself; if rightly spoken, it carries the essence of what it names."

I think you're being too hard on yourself here.

hey, thanks. its helpful to know when im judging my ownself under some incrediblely like, hard & impossible standard or not, as im like a tortured individual in that way /sense, so i dont really know when the threshold of self sabotage or self propelling has damaged myself. So that def helps me. thank you.

Sometimes, sometimes not.  Sometimes judgment is spot on.  It depends.  Judgment is a very difficult topic in this work.  We all do it but no one seems to have an adequate account of it.
