AIPAC helps anti-israel progressive get elected? Campaign finance shock.

In the democrat house primary there were two pro-israel candidates and one progressive anti-israel candidate.

Malinowski, the favorite to win and one of the pro-israel candidates, said he doesn’t “unconditionally support” everything Netanyahu wants, despite his pro-israel record.

AIPAC, the pro-israel lobbying group then went on a crusade against him dumping millions into ads against him. The ads were not about israel however, mostly instead accusing him of supporting ICE because of a vote he made years ago.

AIPAC backed a third pro Israel candidate, Theresa Way.

In the end, Malinowski has no conceded to Aneja, the Bernie sanders supported progressive who is much harsher on Israel having accused them of genocide. Way came in third.

Malinowski put out this statement:

That's quite a shock.

Maybe the district has gotten so blue that it gave Mejia, the anti-israel progressive candidate, enough of an advantage over the more moderate Democratic candidates in the race.

What I don't get is why AIPAC didn't go after her with a lot of attack ads on her when she was the main threat to them?
