Cool, thanks for the share it's scary how fast China is advancing and getting it's people out of poverty in just our lifetimes. I remember being a kid back in the 2006s-2010s and China still being basically a human labour factory, oh how things have changed...

Nope!

China does not colonize or practice imperialism like the west. When they do trade with other countries, they usually make fair deals and don't intervene with their respectice political systems. They don't even fund socialist movements in other countries as far as I know.

This is because communist led countries have burned themselves hard in the past from trying to overturn different countries and unlike the west, communists learn from their mistakes.

They might snatch back some regions in russia and Taiwan (since it's China) but I'm pretty sure that's it. I trust China way more than any western state

Would you believe me if I tell you that Brazil is China's new colony? Same thing with South Africa.

They are buying ALL stocks from the most important companies here in Brazil since Covid (+ all around the world). They are putting hundreds of millions of chinese products here (BYD, Temu, Aliexpress, etc). 

Expand your notions of colonization. It is quiet and subtle my friend. Quiet and subtle.

@CARDOZZO Thanks for the new perspective! 

I think when looking at deals made between countries, it's often hard to tell, wether the deal was fair or not. I'm not saying that China doesn't have it's own interests and it doesn't have leverage over countries but I also want to point out that just bc a country is powerful or has leverage, doesn't mean it is abusing it's power.

It's also important to keep in mind, that the west is still secretly at war with communism and spreading propaganda and misinformation.

This is from the book "the governance of china" from Xi:

"To realize the Chinese Dream, we must pursue peaceful development. We will always follow the path of peaceful development and pursue an opening-up strategy that brings mutual benefits. We will concentrate both on China’s development and on our responsibilities and contributions to the world as a whole. We will bring benefits to both the Chinese people and the people of the rest of the world. The realization of the Chinese Dream will bring the world peace, not turmoil, opportunities, not threats."

Of course, one has to treat the words of any politician with skepticism, but I do believe, that they are acting in accordance to these principles

Notice how broken the western system is that as soon as people see a country gain power, they automatically assume that country is abusing its power
