I've taken skepticism so far that it ate itself, 
A skepticism that is both serious and curious, that led me to verify something for my own, and it turned out to be this Void.

Consciousnes as the One is somewhere you can sort of get conceptually, but consider that there is the possibility of embodying such knowledge directly, outside your human filter, maybe that's what you are missing?

As far as I can tell, nothing is being missed - as in, nothing is lacking. On the other hand, consciousness is needed. 

If you get brutally honest with yourself, I bet you could probably admit that it's just a nice notion you've adopted. Belief is a bitch.

It is possible - but really, I don't trust that people are able to be truthful about their experience.

It's like when people talk about no-self and such: the chances of it being real for them are slim.
