Study finds Human Body not meant to deal with Modern Day Life!

6 posts in this topic

"Modern stressors such as traffic, workplace pressure, social media and persistent noise activate the same biological pathways that once helped humans survive predators. Unlike the rapid resolution our ancestors experienced, these stressors rarely subside. "Our body reacts as though all these stressors were lions," Longman explains. "Whether it's a difficult discussion with your boss or traffic noise, your stress response system is still the same as if you were facing lion after lion. As a result, you have a very powerful response from your nervous system, but no recovery."

I am not built for modern life to a very large extent.
It is responsible for the majority of my mental health issues. I am worried about children, animals, the elderly, people with disabilities, autistic and highly sensitive people trying to survive in this environment.

I'd still take the modern life over any other kind of life we ever had in the history of humanity. I suppose some sort of hybrid between the modern/artificial and the natural/raw would be ideal. Well, one can always dream, or aim towards something

Yes, I think many suffer from these issues especially the mental health part.. Most all life on this planet is suffering because of Us Humans and the way we live, which is imo totally backwards...

Well for sure we are the most comfortable society ever, but definitely not the happiest or healthiest, but we should be.. What boggles my mind is that we could do so much better, the picture of this house or residence, we have the tech to do it now just like this, but we don't for stupid reasons, same with cures for diseases, they have the cures but don't release them due to greed and profit, as is with so many other problems, like free energy, they know how to access but don't..

I think we are basically fucked unless we turn it around soon, highly unlikely though unfortunately!!

Industrialization and corporate greed ruined it.
