AI is ramping up RAM prices

You think 32GB RAM and 2017 build PC will last? I built my PC about same time and even regular internet use is started to lag now with 16GB RAM.

People are coping so hard because people don't have money. But things will get much worse. The same desperation we are seeing with RAM we will see with SSD and with regular pc builds. In year PC's will be something valuable. So if you need a PC buy it NOW and not when crises hits the main stream sheep. Because this will last at least 2-3 years.

I have a feeling that most of the price increases are driven by pure greed and speculation. I can't see regular people paying $500-1000 for a pair of RAM sticks. You might make a couple hundred bucks per RAM, or you might end up holding dead meat once this whole thing crashes. This is a pure speculation, nothing else.

Nvidia invested massively into AI to up the demand for components and increase the bag. These prices are bubble shaped.

I could go and buy 10x Nvidia 4090, 128GB RAM computers if I wanted to, but why would I waste my money for stuff I don't need? You guys are slaves of consumerism.

A 2017 high-end PC running Win 10 is still perfectly fine in 2025 if you know how to build a PC. In fact, Windows 10 with all the updates is now absolutely perfect - a flawless experience with zero issues.

Yes, it's perfectly fine. I would even argue it's more stable for everyday use than your average 2025 build.

@FourCrossedWands A PC from 2017 won't run any of the new games. If you don't game and just do productivity it is ok
