Is Reddit just overly excited or is Trump actually going down this time?

The news subreddits are bombarded with news again about Epstein, they seem convinced he will actually go down this time.

However, I remain unconvinced, seems like justice never really happens to that guy.

He's never going to prison, hes president, protected by pardon power. But there's another nuke ready to drop, SCOTUS may rule he has to pay back tarrifs, if that happens, enough Republican legislators will turn on him, he'll get reigned in. It will be a bloodbath politically for Republicans, and long-term.

On way we might see significant change (and justice) if an ANTI-Trump candidate comes into office next who will shake things up as much as Trump did but to the left.

I don't know if either if you understood I was referring to all the Epstein stuff and how it really might come out now, at least according to these excited redditors (just take a peek at https://www.reddit.com/r/politics and everything is about it)

Possibly after midterms, won't go to jail though. Are you asking about being Impeached? He may resign and have Vance pardon him. He could die by then, honestly. It's important to set expectations, Trump's not going to jail for his horrific crimes. 'Going down' means a fracturing of the coalition that Trump would need to consolidate his authoritarian power grab.

While the core of the MAGA Cult is closer to defending pedophilia than they are to admitting they backed an irredeemable monster, this %15-25 of the country that's A-OK with backing the client of a child sex trafficking ring isn't a large enough plurality to succeed in his authoritarian ambitions. Autocrats who survive are ones that are popular, and just 10 months in and Trump's fascist experiment is imploding.

The first paragraph upsets me because obviously he should go to jail.

The second paragraph seems too hopeful, I think the repubs will mostly still back him.
