science is dangerous, and so is self actualization within science

So, been thinking about one particular thing that stuck with me from watching one of Leo's episodes, I believe the title of the video was something about toxic life purpose or something, which was to guide people towards the light so to speak, and choose a greater purpose in life. Leo in this video gives example of how people may get like a coding job working to create drones that will be used to kill people in warfare. And it got me thinking, there are so many of these inventions that self-actualized people created. An example would be Einstein, we see him as this great man of scientific genius. Brought a bunch of new discoveries into the world, but it's been said that his contributions to science helped people to create the first nuclear bomb.

You can work at some magnum opus of whatever and it may have a very negative effect on humanity, but not deliberately.

Now I said there are many examples of this but I don't know too many on the top of my head, but most of technology can be used in harmful ways. It may be worthwhile to look into Ted Kacsinzkys writings, yes a very controversial figure, but he may have a valid point about technological progress.
