How has US society been since SNAP benefits ended? Are there riots?

That's the question. I'm not in the US anymore. Everyone said there would be riots, but I have heard nothing, seen no videos. Is it actually bad or is it a nothingburger?

Thing is that you can often find food if you look hard enough (not always), but it's only going to get worse. It will definitely negatively affect society.

People are just going further into debt, going to churches, scrapping coupons together etc.

Okay, that's good. It was hyped as literally "SNAPOCALYPSE" in some places I saw online, so if nothing really happened, I don't know why

It’s because people haven’t felt the brunt of it yet, most snap payments come in around the middle of the month I believe. lots of states are funding it for November and a federal judge ordered trump to use funds allocated just for that purpose but he’s trying to use funding snap as political blackmail to get the dems to reopen the government and let republicans cut subsidies for the ACA increasing premiums for millions of Americans, we truly live in brutal times, the only hope is that the dems hold strong and don’t back down because it’s helping them politically as most Americans blame republicans for not being willing to negotiate as they hold all three levers of government.

my guess is that eventually the republicans will agree to negotiate and make concessions or there will be riots and those riots will hurt them politically
