Meditation via staring at a word in a book

I try to read spiritual books but I hate reading. I end up just staring at the words, and found a way to meditate by staring at a word in a book.

Also while meditating I find it hard to focus on one specific thing my eyes will dart side to side, I cannot remained focused on one point. Things will get blurry and I will fall back into my mind.

But looking at a word in a book helps with this. A word contains letters but is a thing in itself, if the eyes get tired of staring at the word they can focus on a letter, and then back to the word. You remain looking at the same thing, but something different in the thing.

If you have adhd and can't focus on one thing while meditating, maybe looking at a single word in a book can help you meditate.

If you focus on a positive word it will help you feel good too.

@Hojo Interesting meditation technique, never heard about it, might give it a try. Thanks for sharing your experience

God-Realize, this is First Business. Know that unless I live properly, this is not possible.

There is this body, I should know the requirements of my body. This is first duty.  We have obligations towards others, loved ones, family, society, etc. Without material wealth we cannot do these things, for that a professional duty.

There is Mind; mind is tricky. Its higher nature should be nurtured, then Mind becomes Wise, Virtuous and AWAKE. When all Duties are continuously fulfilled, then life becomes steady. In this steady life GOD is available; via 5-MeO-DMT, because The Sun shines through All: Living in Self-Love, Realizing I am Infinity & I am God

@Davino Since the meditators say to look up while doing it place the word so you are looking up at it too maybe.
