Resting in Being: Surrendering Control

5 posts in this topic

There comes a point on the path where awareness no longer feels like an effort. At first, we try to “return” to being present, to bring ourselves back from thought. But gradually, it becomes natural, as simple as breathing. Even when the mind races, the moment awareness shines on it, thoughts dissolve like mist before the sun.

The key is surrender. Instead of trying to control the mind or force stillness, one lies back within. The body knows how to move, breathe, act. The mind knows how to think, create, resolve. But none of this needs a separate “me” to manage it. When the illusion of control is released, body and mind reveal their own intelligence.

Resting in this way is not laziness; it is the deepest trust. The body cleans the house, speaks, or walks without strain. The mind brings thoughts without clinging. Life flows on its own. What remains is a peace beyond effort, beyond struggle.

Ego thrives on tension, on resistance, on the feeling of “I must.” But resting is so sweet, so natural, that the ego loses its grip. There is no room for aggression, hype, or conflict when everything is already unfolding harmoniously.

This surrender is not only for oneself. It is for family, for society. A person without the burden of “me” lives in gentleness, openness, and love. The absence of control reveals a presence that is more caring, more peaceful, and more human than any ego could ever create.

Best Regards,

Surrender is one way, there are many other ways, for some Surrender is more natural, for other it is not, that is why we have a many methods, many Gurus, many ways to do things...which is why if Your Awareness of these things is low a Guru/Mentor is needed, and for most in this world today their Awareness is super Low.

Things like Devotion and Surrender don't work well, the ppl just can't do it, for a very tiny few it does, but all of Us can work on it and make it part of the whole, like Bruce Lee said with his Jeet Kune Do philosophy, "Use what Works for You, Reject what is Useless for You..", since each of Us had different Karmic Makeups, we need guidance!

Hey my brother. I think, Bruce Lee and Jerry June do philosophy is different ways of surrendering, however they all point out to surrendering in different ways.

Because, what will or can achieve?

Well maybe in the end game it all ends up being about Surrendering, but if one cannot do it now within this moment, they need a HOW, How do I surrender in this moment if it is not naturally happening.. The How becomes more important than the Why or end game which it seems You mostly focus on, End Game results, which comes from Goal orientation rather than Process orientation..

If it came naturally for everyone we would be in this situation we are in in the world, nor would we be on this forum imo...

I was a super sensitive person. Whatever happened to me was I suffered a lot and gave up. Meanwhile, that I was all accumulation of thoughts and never there. Body and mind was always it's own.

Moreover, you can be still and watching, and at the same time let body and mind work together. Therefore , I am on the forum. Because, literally body and mind works with harmony and love. Therefore, helping to others, not only people, animals, trees etc.. , sharing, caring is inevitable.

Many people says that reason of enlightenment is recognition of what You really are, meanwhile You are always what You are, therefore You can not recognize what You are, only be.

Because of that, reason of enlightenment is Love. Direct seeing that every thing is made out of Being. You shine on all, not you as body or mind. But, all our essence is identical. Just body and mind a tool to communicate, share, care, hug, cry and Love.
