Visualisation

4 posts in this topic

Hi everyone

I am new to this forum so I apologise if I ask a dumb question here. I am a yoga teacher by profession and I have been practising meditation for many years.  Recently I have taken up the Wim Hoff Method, Tummo meditation and for some years I practiced Sufi dynamic movement meditation.

I never really visualised much, but I have noticed some results with it. Its not until I came across Leo's video on the process that it starts to make sense as a practice. So far I find the visualisations very therapeutic and emotional. However I have a question. Again I apologise if this has been asked before or if the answer is obvious.  I also apologise for apologising, but I am British.

Anyway, when visualising for specific goals, I know Leo recommends doing it for 2-4 weeks. If a goal has not been achieved or nothing has been actualised within that time period, should I continue visualising? Basically I wanted to know from more experience visualisers, at what point should you assume that the universe has perhaps decided that this goal is not for you?

Regards

Darius

@Johnnydeep the only input that matters on this is yours. What I suggest would behoove you is to employ all senses for this goal.  What is it? Why do you desire it? How does it benefit you and everyone? Have you drawn it on paper? Have you written a few pages about it? How will you feel when you arrive at the goal? Can you feel that way now? The gap between those feelings right now is all that prevents it from being.

Thank You Nahm, I actually have not been visualising enough on it yet. Its only been a few days, but it was a question I had in mind. Those are some very good things to pay attention to, I will definitely be more aware of those points you made.
