The base tryptamine molecules, N,N-DMT in particular, but also the 5-MeO substitutions are quite weak against MAO-A breakdown, hence the short duration and sometimes supplementing with harmala or another MAOI to prolong/intensify the trip. My metabolism in general is crazy fast, and so it is with MAO-A, the compound is basically destroyed before having a chance to make an effect; additionally, my 5HT1A receptor sensitivity seems quite low, so things like DMT & 5MD that are stronger on it than 2A have a decreased effect. What seems to work best for me is 4-substituted tryptamines, they're more resistant to MAO-A breakdown and bind better on 2A. What's a mystery is then how DPT manages to work, albeit only through IM; similar thing with 5MD. N,N-DMT continues to elude me though, I've vaped massive amounts, took it with a MAOI and had an NDE due to harmala poisoning, injected 60mg intramuscularly, and still not even the slightest color shift. Everything has been troubleshooted, from source to ROA to technique. 
Some genetic freakery is going on, I'm no longer pursuing it though since there's plenty of other compounds to fill the void.

Although the whole process of extraction is fun. I learned to be more patient and meticulous.

It was so clear that my life is a literal story when I took DMT today. I was seeing how it was being constructed, and I was in shock. It was beyond just being aware of being lost in beliefs here and there.

There was no ground that I could stand on, and I couldn't care less if my reality were to be constructed in a totally different way, beyond human.

People who willy-nilly, without psychedelic experience, tell others that life is a story do not understand the gravity of it. Like, literally, you see how absolutely your reality is being constructed.

You are constructing it second by second as god? If you see it being constructed maybe free will does not exist,

@vibv, after the DMT experience, I started to contemplate what anything is made of, which led me to question who I am, which led me to the realization that I must be everything. It's easy to say that, however, what's assuring is that you feel it in your bones at that moment.

I was staring at the chair, and it was too obvious that it is me.

But I still don't know what I am, beyond the identification of everything. There must be more. Although, I know what you and others might say.

I'm in a state of not-knowingness and it is getting profound.

Currently I've got NB-DMT, which should be a pro-drug for NN-DMT. Last time I just eyeballed the dose, but it was no breakthrough dose, maybe 50 mg (NB-DMT is weaker than NN-DMT). Vaped with a ball-vape (WOHW to be exact).

It lasted a few hours with no visuals at all, but a heightened sense of visual acuity and a widening of consciousness.

Maybe you need to have experience with psychedelics before Awakening, but I find that all substances work even better now. Like they levelled up or something. But they don't bring me into different worlds anymore.

@vibv, my trip lasts about maybe 10-20 minutes; I can't keep track of the exact time yet. Though, it depends on how I smoke. I'm still not sure about the dose. Sometimes 10-20mg starts to affect me, and sometimes not. I fill up the pipe and smoke it multiple times to get the most out of it.

After the trip, my experience stays more lucid than my normal state for some time.

DMT is wild when I smoke it effectively. I feel my hands melting into each other. My visual field sometimes looks like infinite transparent layers of sheets, sometimes infinite recursive holes appear at multiple points, etc.

I can't order other psychedelics to my country because it's too risky. I extract DMT.
