@Jannes lmao that is one way to look at it.

My thought is that they seem much more conscious than I am and my Western counterparts.

This is the same thing when I went to the East & so-called "underdeveloped 3rd world" countries, at least according to SD theory.

Average dude seems WAYYYY more conscious than us Westerners. Just more in touch with their bodies. More alive. SImple. It radiates from their eyes & smiles. Talking about South Asia mostly.

Enlightenment just means living. Those dudes are LIVING!

I see what you mean.. they seem a bit like animals unbothered with everyday problems.

But do you think they could get enlightend? I dont see that.

It's really a different type of intelligence! A simple life can make you happy, I bet they eat super quality local food too. Especially if you're outside, touching grass, and being in your body with community. Rather than having you face shoved in a screen all day.

With these tribal guys, it's super interesting how they can have a sixth sense too. Like they're just intuitively dialed into the flows of their environment from their whole life of living in it.

Think it's a mistake to conflate LIVING with enlightenment. But it's definitely closer than neurotically dissociating into your head all the time. Either way, I'm sure a lot are content with how things already are ^_^

I don't see why not? At least to some extent, it would just look different.

Perhaps as shamans. Some will naturally have spiritual abilities that'd likely be more welcomed than in western society. Depending on location, they could also have access to plant medicine.

Forget about the concept of spiritual enlightenment & understanding GOD.

That's a bunch of bullshit. Eat meat, go to sleep. Simple.

In many ways they are even more Simple & pure thank monks. Bevause monks still have to survive. Plus the monks add meditation & mantras & a bunch of other shit.

These dudes just stick to survival.

Also, if you were enlightened, you wouldn't know it!

Case in point!!

Is it?? :S

Is a rabbit enlightened when it goes about life. Nibbling carrots and pooing in grass? It is simple and pure too.

I feel like distinction is still relevant.

To me, they are living harmoniously in life with the flow of natural rhythms. Producing a satisfying of life without modern complications.

But it isn't knowing you're god. That all things are connected. That's just qualitatively different.

But to be "enlightened", to be a tribe member, to be a rabbit. Distinctions can be made- But at the end of the day. All of the above will be fine as they are. They're different games of life and we don't have to pedestalize one over the others.

Hajur Mr. Puer,

I didn't mean to make philosophical argument abt whether or not these dudes realize the interconnectedness of all things or if they're 3rd eye is open or whatever other crieteria you use to determine enlightenment, spiritual development, goodness, etc.

I meant that, when looking at the video, observing how they interact with the foreigner, their facial expressions, demeanor, thought process, mode of expression, etc. Etc.

It is clear that they do not hold many beliefs. (Specifically in this case, they seem to be a hunter-gatherer group that is quite pragmatic & just focused on physical survival, that's IT. No rituals, shamans, omens, 3rd moons, 3rd eyes, sacrificing the lamb, cumming of age ceremony, etc.). So, they don't hold many beliefs.

You can see when they talk. They are unencumbered by typical human bullshit.

This to me is at least ON PAR with enlightenment. I mean, cmon... enlightenment is (from ONE PERPECTIVE, chill out, lol) simply the letting go of all beliefs — that is, living life belief-free, without nonsense/human noise.

Looks like they do a pretty good job at that, and they don't even know it...

Jus sayin

I am not saying these dudes are the apex of human development, lol.

But do you catch my drift? Eat meat, go sleep :)

I agree also they fast a lot due to not finding food so that helps as well , those tribes are superior to people who eat everyday 3 times a day and are sitting in front of a screen 12+ hours a day.

@chess_king definitiely not superior, probably just happier, thats the only point I was tryna make rlly

not that they are more spiritual, more enlightened, even more free of concepts

Just.... happier. I mean, look at their movements. Fluid, free, unencumbered. They do not seem beholden to a program when they speak. That to me is better than God.

I think fasting alone makes them superior to people who eat everyday that's how I see it bec I value fasting a lot , look into the benefits of fasting , the mental ones specifically

@Puer Aeternus

It's just brute pure survival gripe. Ancient survival too. But where's the scope for invention. What if they get rabies? Would they have access to a vaccine or what if there's kidney failure? Would they invent transplant machines?

You're looking at this from a purely theoretical perspective of just flat survival in the bush. But you aren't trying to think survival beyond that level. Their survival is basically as close as you can get to pure Darwinian survival, just natural selection, people who can't make the cut would be left to just slip through the cracks. Would you be delighted to live among them?

If they get rabies, guess they die, or turn into mad wolf.

Either way, they also don't pay tax. Fair game.

If I may ask, why only a weekend? xD if you like it so much there with your distinguished divine enlightened hosts, you should probably prefer to spend your entire life with them, they would welcome you graciously with open arms as their delightful subject. You should honestly live among them and post your reports right from there. It would make an interesting case study.
