Dear OceanicBlizzard - OceanicWorm/BlizzardWorm.

Let yourself land. The day is done. It is time to rest. Breathe deeply and feel your focus shifting to rejuvenation.

The more relaxation you let in, the more nourished you will be tomorrow.

The Sufi poet Rumi wrote:

Moonlight floods the whole sky

From horizon to horizon;

How much it can fill your rooms

Depends on its windows.

Close your eyes and breathe in. Imagine your ceiling is made of skylights so you can see the entire constellations above you. Let your room be made of glass so it fills with the silvery light of the moon. Breathe in again and let the night sky wash over you as your body relaxes even more.

You are a traveller on this fabulous landscape. You have many vistas ahead of you. And with each journey, you are forming habits that will help you on the next. When you wake, alter just one thing in your environment that will help nudge you towards your desired behaviors. You choose what that is. Your goal is actually to make your actions easier, not harder. If ever a step feels too much to take, break it in half. And if that feels too much, break it in half again. Long lasting change comes from tiny steps, repeated regularly over time. Your path will unfurl before you, always waiting for that next little step. And in between each, remember to give yourself credit for every single effort you are making.

The entire night sky is offering you rest right now. Widen your windows and let self-compassion and kindness in. July3

I felt a bit balanced today. I'm digging into hermetic ideas and the birth of the soul. Interesting concepts. Pure philosophy.

Dear OceanicBlizzard - OceanicWorm/BlizzardWorm.

Let yourself land. Breathe in, the Knight has come in his warrior clothing. Let yourself relax into it. You are an important part of everything.

Breathe deeply. Let your body relax as you exhale. Feel your shoulders dropping and your neck letting go. Breathe in again and allow the sun to set.

You have to put so many things in motion today; every action nudged what tomorrow will become. Your tiny steps are adding up. They are becoming the change you had hoped for, the kind that lasts. The American poet, Michael Goldman writes:

It is not that

the sun comes up

Or the earth goes around

Or that the plants sprout

And take up rain

And flower and set seed

Or that our hearts pound

Five thousand times an hour -

It's that we don't have

to go out with tethers

To make the heavenly bodies

Move correctly around

Or caress the ground

And tease the stems upright

And separate the petals

Or tap our chests

Continually with little hammers

And we can put

our attention elsewhere.

Now that you have claimed your own space here in this fabulous universe, go ahead and settle in. Here, you have a sanctuary away from it all. Know that what you do each day feeds your tomorrow, like a stream flowing into a great river. That river will feed an even greater one the next day, and the next and forever onward.

So rest now. Breathe in again, knowing the earth will spin and look away from the sun, till it leans in again, all before you open your eyes again.

Dear OceanicBlizzard - OceanicWorm/BlizzardWorm.

There is a way to start your workday feeling good. Before you begin, ask yourself what will make you feel good right now.

It might be listening to a song, putting on hand lotion, or making the perfect cup of tea in your favorite mug. Find that something that feels perfectly and uniquely you. Only you can decide what that is.

When you’ve completed the action you chose for yourself, only then do you sit down to work. You are worth the extra few minutes. You matter.

How to feel good?

Something beautiful like a lovely rose.

A positive environment all around

Having air conditioning that works well! 🤣 Having my morning cup of coffee and playing a game on my phone.

Pomegranate tea bag under my ice. Steep it in Voltage mountain dew and/or cherry 7up. So yummy.

Having quiet time with coffee in hand & having a glass of water before anything, hydrating myself is very important & diamond art

Embracing the things I did accomplish today… that was progress.

Reading scripture

Listening to positive affirmation

Water, then quiet time with my coffee, then my morning meditation.

Dear OceanicBlizzard - OceanicWorm/BlizzardWorm

Now that the day is done, let the words of author Zora Neale Hurston find their way to this evening. She wrote, "there are years that ask questions and years that answer."

Life does not reveal itself immediately. One must be both the student and the one who figures out the lesson. It is a never-ending journey of learning.

Knowing what you want but having to wait, seems " off " somehow. When one has decided on a path, impatience often pays a visit. It is understandable.. excitement is not a natural pair with patience.

But take a moment now, as night falls, to reimagine that wait time. Look closer. You will see it is filled with incremental steps, each a revolution of change in their own right.

Imagine a tree limb that branches out into more branches. And each of those branches multiply out again. When you take one tiny step, you have expanded your future possibilities. They multiply out before you. And when you make it to the next branch, the continually unfolding array of possibilities reveals itself.

But only because you have taken one solid step, kept your footing, then stepped again.

Each incremental step that forms a single habit begins a chain reaction. It creates a positive future where one success can lead to the next. You may wish to speed to the end, but you will miss all the fortification that is occurring. This process is made of presence and awareness. Don't let impatience steal what could be yours. You are building a solid foundation for change if you take things one step at a time. Habit by habit.

Go to sleep tonight cherishing the idea that life is an astounding story, especially when you allow it to unfold in its entirety. It is not a race. Don't rush it. Don't miss it. Stay open.

Dear OceanicBlizzard - OceanicWorm/BlizzardWorm

The poet Dejan Stojanovic wrote these words :

"Every star was once darker than the night, before it awoke."

Our own sun's birthday is estimated at over four and a half billion years ago. It has filled our solar system with light for that for that long. But before it awoke, the space it now inhabits was darker than the night.

So too with every star you see out there that shines not just across space, but also across time. With those rays of starlight comes a question for you.

Who were you before you awoke and who are you becoming?

You set off on a quest the moment you opened. You have already begun that journey. Every day you are learning, practicing, returning, evolving. It's important that you give yourself credit for every bit of effort you make, no matter the outcome. You are in the process of redesigning your life.

As you continue on your journey, you will start to see yourself more brightly. The resolution will improve every day. You will begin to know what's really important to you and what you can leave behind. It may be self doubt that falls into the dim as your light increases. Gratitude and self care will become more evident in your day to day. You will say goodbye to bad habits and recreate your environment so that it reflects who you are meant to be.

Ease into sleep remembering the poet's words. "Every star was once darker than the night, before it awoke. " Breathe deeply and feel the stress fall away as you exhale. Let the night fall around you. Sleep knowing that this knowledge is integrating within. Rest and let the morning come to greet you with the gift of a new day.
