The use of Mandala and the Generation Stage

4 posts in this topic

In Vajrayana Buddhism there is the meditation practice called the Generation stage, which means (as far as I understand it) that you visualize yourself as a completed Buddha and identify as such (Divine Pride). You project several other buddhas or deities that represent aspects of Reality in circles around you in an immense celestial palace and eventually absorb them in parts of your body. Finally you let everything dissolve into formlessness.

This is a method to recontextualize all appearances into pure view. This means seeing yourself and all sentient beings as fully realized and omniscient Buddhas.

Can anyone that has experience in this practice share if it is effective.

Also I am interested in practicing this and other vajrayana mind-technology but I want to avoid taking Buddhism as an ideology: Any experience or advice on that?

Karma yoga. Its in sadhguru karma book. You go around treating everyone as if they are Jesus or any higher person. When you do this your perception will change from earth to heaven. Thats all it takes when you feel like you are in heaven you are in heaven.

It is a good book he says we are all ghosts.

Sometimes it's the journey itself that teaches/ A lot about the destination not aware of/No matter how far/
How you go/How long it may last/Venture life, burn your dread

Thank you. But my question was more along the lines of using the Generation Stage to train yourself in this view to make it easier to embody it in everyday life and how effective it is.
