Very interesting context for the song:

Pageau argues that the post-WW2 narrative, which was holding the world together is in the process of breaking down. The core axioms that structured meaning are slowly fading. A central aspect of the post-WW2 narrative is Hitler as the ultimate embodiment of the devil. Kanye who is tapping into the cutting-edge of the zeitgeist is just reflecting and amplifying these tensions in a very weird way.

An alternative post WW2 narrative could be set once the world starts to believe that nazism would be impossible to recreate ever again, given the historical, geopolitical, cultural and economic circumstances of our era (as opposed to pre WW2 era) are significantly different. Granted, unhealthy nationalism is still very much possible, but not to the extent of the kind of ideological extremity which national socialism represented (presenting and framing reality as an eternal conflict and strugle of races and nations, essentially as a biological fact, etc.) After such realization, we would be able to set nazism as an isolated historical event - the one which has no bearing on us today, since nobody would feel threatened by it anymore. In the same way as Genghis Khan, Mao Ce-Tung, etc.
