  1. Great! Why are you trying to convince him that he's wrong about loa if it's true? I mean if it's true, then it'll work whether everyone believes in it or not. And if it's not, then why not explore other possibilities?
  2. I refuse to believe that anything inside the dream could get you outside the dream. If the truth is that there's nothing but dreams, then what better is that than Mario being stuck in the video game and thinking he's real? Maybe it isn't that dreams are everything, but rather that dreams are the limit to what we can reach.
  3. @Rilles So, what you're saying is that Love is 100% acceptance without judgement of any kind? This kind of love is very risky, so here we are. We have to love something more than something else in order to survive, no matter how enlightened we become. I remember Leo once saying that if you put two enlightened people in one cage and starve them to death, then even they would fight and kill each other for survival. Survival is love too ?
  4. I'm not sure where you are going with this conversation. We were talking about procrastination and how to solve it practically. This is not a quest for Truth.
  5. My perspective: No free will. Free will is the thought of being the author of thoughts. But where do thoughts come from? Nowhere/void.
  6. What do you mean exactly by this? What is your definition of love?
  7. Practicality speaking, we don't live in the wild. We're only able to pay the bills because we're able to utilise our imagination. Animals are not humans because they don't have the imagination required.
  8. A feeling of excitement about something due to thought-stories.
  9. Physical health is THE most important thing and most people can't appreciate it as long as they have it. Being physically well is soooo underrated.
  10. I'm interested too.
  11. Make videos or audio recordings of you talking about your experiences specifically. (or imagine yourself doing that). Journaling. Change of surroundings => change of mood. (more experience). Basically, anything new can be a lesson i.e. posting on here talking about your problem, you probably won't do it anywhere else.
  12. It's convenient to say things like that when you are not suffering. I'd say it's a good explanation, but not complete or accurate. I mean nonduality in general. Not the OP per se.
  13. That's right. But not just that. I feel very motivated at first, but then I put some work and I don't see results, so I get demotivated. Maybe I should work on having a big vision?
  14. @DrewNows In my experience, most of the time, procrastination is anything that is ought to be done in small steps for achieving outcomes that come after a while. Perhaps I like freedom. Whenever I set up a goal, I tend to procrastinate about it. I'm fine doing anything but I don't like to wait for the results so I distract myself, and that's my procrastination. The solution for me is to just do it no matter what.
  15. @winterknight How do you know you won't change after you have known what you want? I mean suppose I find out what I really want according to my feelings, what if procrastination becomes the case again? What if I stop feeling good from what I really want?
  16. @Shadowraix It's funny! The word "projection" is being so misused on here. It's when you see someone using it, you can easily see that they're probably doing it. In psychology, however: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychological_projection The word "projection" is used here on the forum to make whatever you say look naive and aggressive. Even though you could probably be right and the things you say are not projections at all.
  17. @Joseph Maynor I see consciousness as a watcher, a judge that makes observations but never interferences nor gets its hands dirty. Dirty work is for the devils, and I don't think any amount of consciousness can keep it under control, at least not right now. I prefer to focus on my personal life.
  18. Because we are not God. Can't get more obvious.
  19. @Shadowraix We're talking about discovering truth here, not taking it for granted. I'm sorry, but from what you've written, it seems to me like you haven't yet discovered no free will vs free will for yourself, but rather have read it somewhere and liked the idea. Which is not to say that it's a problem of course. But I don't think taken-for-granted-ideas will do anything here. I could be wrong though. However, no free will is just evident as the sun in plain sight. When no free will is realised fully, there will come the benefits I mentioned earlier without even trying, and much more, and without having to skip responsibility. Keep in mind that most irresponsible people don't usually place no free will as their first/strongest arguments.
  20. @Aakash Sometimes it can heal you directly. Sometimes it can't and work is needed.
