  1. So, the ego is real and those channelling entities aren't? By the way, you are channelling God, but you don't know it yet.
  2. @Justincredible76 Fair question. I still struggle to find the balance between discipline and surrendering. I'm right now at the surrendering end, and trying to move towards discipline. I've let go of most of my neuroses, and now it's time to create a lifestyle that is both relaxed and efficient. That's what I consider balance to be. What I've found helpful, so far, in my experience is to: Surround yourself with discipline (people and materials). Realising that surrendering, if excessive, stems from fear. Anyway, if you're still struggling with surrendering, I think that you shouldn't worry about discipline, because that'll only make you more neurotic.
  3. The appearances are not different from the one awareness. It's like the inside of a Christmas ornament.
  4. @zeroISinfinity I've tried it many times, all I find in my direct experience is one awareness and different appearances, not infinity.
  5. @Nahm Infinity is probably the one thing you guys talk about and I can't relate to, yet.
  6. This is not a word I came up with. I don't necessarily agree with how it's used. In the classical sense, people use this word to create a virtual separation in the one, to make it look like two. The one is the thing that cannot be pointed to, and the two are so, since they are one as well. But let's say that matter means something that people can agree that they share the same experience of, as in tangible objective reality, compared to and contrasted with thought/concept/imagination. So, the former is related to the senses, and the latter is related to the "mind". You know, just classic materialism.
  7. @Rigel That's not what I meant. I meant that the distinction between concept and direct experience (what you probably are referring to as 'existence' and what you say is self-evident), is a materialistic distinction.
  8. @Rigel So, existence is matter? Is existence exclusive to the senses?
  9. @Rigel Yes, I agree, for the most part. So, if we were to contrast ideas/abstractions with something else that we can point to, what would that thing be?
  10. While I think that that's true, I also think that it's partial. There are orders of magnitude for omniscience, the one you mentioned may be the simplest, most basic one.
  11. It's so much complicated, I guess.
  12. Morality is just something that prevents other people from killing you. It's not actually necessary, but people are so judgemental, so you have to play their game.
  13. @mandyjw .. The new year of college started yesterday. I'm planning on making it a special year. I am planning to start studying early. In fact I am going to start right now. The material at hand is 'paediatric diseases'. I never liked medical school before, but I'm full of hope that I will start liking it. Not because of paediatrics, but because I've changed. Let's see.
  14. I agree. In fact, I think 4 hours is enough and optimal.
  15. You think it's easy for someone to get interested in playing video games? I personally am 23 and can't really play anything.
  16. Those who say that it's boring are simply deluded. They have probably heard this insight from some teacher but never really understood that it's just a pointer, a metaphor, not the actual case. Some people are masters in theory, noobs in practice.
  17. With further contemplation, I would say that it's not just black or white. There are degrees of neurosis. And the more you surrender, the less neuroses you will have, and the happier you will become.
  18. For someone who isn't neurotic, they wouldn't need surrendering, cuz they're already surrendered.
  19. Hmmm... No you can't The damage is done.
