  1. I couldn't make it very far through OP's post. You want to vote for Trump because of the riots? What do the riots have to do with Biden's policy platform? Trump stands for free speech? Doesn't he file defamation and libel suites every chance he gets? Doesn't he even want to change the libel laws in his favor? Conversely, how is Biden against free speech? I can't take your opinion seriously, OP. You might as well say you don't want to vote for Biden because his name starts with 'B' just like the word 'butthole' and buttholes are bad. You're maybe a half notch from making points at that level of intellect.
  2. OP's political ideology in its entirety: Government scary, government bad Constitution good I'd recommend digging a little deeper, man.
  3. That's the impression you got, OP? My impression is that he's an average dude with some musical talent and somewhat delusional and grandiose ideas about what he can accomplish. He had nothing interesting or insightful to say. I don't hate the guy, I just think he's very average in intellect but thinks he's a genius, he even refers to himself as one in the interview.
  4. Honestly, the best way, the way I'd recommend is to just pick an issue you personally care about. Go learn the arguments on both sides in depth. Debate with people about the subject. You'll probably naturally branch out from there. What's something in the world today you personally care about?
  5. Centrism isn't even a real political position dude. It's political relativism. You're only a centrist relative to the generally held political positions of a given time. If you admit to being a centrist you're just too lazy to actually formulate a real understanding of policy and the direction human civilization should go. The only valid centrist is one who does it simply as a form of compromise within our political system in order to shift policy one direction or the other.
  6. His benzo addiction probably caused that very existential crisis. Benzo's are existential nightmare in a pill if you take them long term. Go look at JP's podcast with his daughter that details his detox from them. JP's experience was the stuff of nightmares.
  7. Lol, some of you guys are being such prudes. Lets be real here, I'd probably be worse in that situation. I'd flirt with her and probably ask her out for drinks after with the full intention of coitus. I think Giuliani is at worst guilty of being a bit of a creep taking advantage of what looked to him like a far younger, impressionable, journalist.
  8. I used to struggle with the idea of so much suffering in the world. I think you gain some sense of peace with it if you take full responsibility for your own life in the sense that you do everything you can to further your own development as a person. The best way to change the world and reduce suffering is to further your own spiritual development. The rest you simply leave to God, so to speak.
  9. So, I got a chance to watch the movie last night. And man, I can usually appreciate dark and edgy humor, but I felt he crossed the line into unfunny a handful of times. Particularly the schtick where he dresses up as a racist caricature of a Jew and talks to the two holocaust victims who happened to be two wonderful old ladies with hearts of gold was a bit much for me. He learns from them that the holocaust was not a hoax and begins to get overly happy that the holocaust happened amid his interaction. Ah man, that literally feel so flat for me it was 2D. For someone to go through such horrendous suffering and be such a loving and open person in the face of that and then to be used as the butt end of a cheap edgy gag for a Borat movie seems like a massive insult to everything life and humanity is supposed to be about. Given the full context of the movie, I felt it was very mediocre which made the Giuliani bit come across as forced and as manipulated as is was. I think most people who watch it will see through it.
  10. Overall, I felt Biden came across well. Trump just doesn't have the same pop he had in 2016. He felt really deflated.
  11. Sacha Baron Cohen is making a habit of assassinating Republican politicians.
  12. Tell me, where does the feeling of boredom reside in infinite love and pure presence?
  13. Right, it's the ego mind wanting to avoid one thing and crave another. That's my fundamental issue with the post. This guy basically just concocted a psychedelic horror story of a narrative.
  14. Simple question. Enlightenment is experience of direct consciousness, pure acceptance, pure presence. Now asnwer me this. Why would you then want to avoid one state of consciousness and desire another if you are fully Enlightened?
  15. So you listed a couple of accidental gaffs, which happens when you speak for a living. And the fact that she wouldn't debate the most overrated political hack in the world Ben Shapiro? Come on, dude, give the girl a break. I don't even think she's 30 yet.
  16. Lmao, that guy next to Logan had a funny question about how Sadguru's sort of thinking is a luxury. Meanwhile across the world people who literally have nothing are the people who are the deepest in spiritual practice. Too funny.
  17. I understand your disappointments with Biden. However, I will say that he certainly is better than Trump. Yes, Biden does give only lip service to true leftist ideology, he is in truth a tried and true centrist politician. His policy will be a continuation of the policies of Obama who was a continuation of the policies of Clinton. It is a marginal move in the right direction, and in my opinion the person you should vote for if you are a left leaning person.
  18. Lol, I was definitely bummed when Bernie Sanders lost. I was so excited I bought into the hype too much and overestimated Bernie's chances. I definitely had that initial saltiness where I had zero interest in voting for Biden. I would never EVER vote for someone like Trump, but I legit did not want to vote for Biden. After I've come to my senses voting for Biden is the clear correct thing to do, at least for me.
  19. I think it should be allowed in only very particular cases where someone is suffering and is terminally ill. I'd say no in any other case.
  20. I don't know if this is a troll thread, but I can tell you that there is absolutely no cult behavior here at all. There's a culture of left leaning politics and certain concepts are generally excepted. It's a very casual and friendly forum as far as I'm concerned When I was younger I frequented bodybuilding.com forum. It's a huge forum and it has more of cult experience in the form of insecurity and body dysmorphia, yet I doubt you'd recognize that forum in such a negative light.
  21. Oh no, I'm being manipulated into thinking that white women could be happy with a black guy. The horror... the horror.
  22. Firstly, you're not a bum for living at home at 22, that's relatively normal. I think our society is engineered to need a certain type of mind. People who don't fit that mold in your case are prescribed Adderall. I don't want to tell you what to do because it seems you have genuine struggles in terms of being able to be functional. But, understand what you are taking is an extremely potent substance. You're young as well. You're going to develop a very strong dependence which will only increase the longer you take it. I'd recommend considering getting off of it and trying to see if you can live a functional life without it. I've seen people who are dependent on psychiatric medications like benzo's and adderall long term. It usually doesn't end very well. Not as in train wreck bad, although some succumb to addiction which can be a train wreck. But most are just highly dependent on substances and have to continually upping their does and adding more medications over time. Lastly, I do not believe you can simply rely on Adderall for life even if it works right now. Your brain will adapt to it and it will slowly lose its effect over time. It may not be tomorrow, it may not even be a year from now, but it will happen eventually. You'll be at square one again a decade from now, maybe worse and regretting that you never tried to live your life without it. Food for though, make an informed decision for yourself. I hope this helped.
  23. Is it the stage were we are gay?
