  1. Hey guys:D So I'm currently in the process of cleaning up my diet. Im eating vegan for 2 and a half years now, and it's working quite well. I dont consume any artifical sweeteners (sometimes here and there, but I dont crave it), I rarely eat fast food and overall Im eating a quite healthy diet. Sure there is always something to improve. For example gluten. I still eat bread and pasta and I dont see that it is bad for my body. After I eat gluten, I feel pretty good, no brain fog, no stomach issues, nothing. I even ate a glutenfree diet for a few monthes, just to experiment a bit and I felt the same as before. So do you think I should still cut it out of my diet, although I dont feel any benefits? Maybe it's a long term thing and I will see the benefits in a few years, I dont know. Anyways, thanks for your help, it means a lot to me
  2. Peace will only be possible with spiritual enlightenment. You have to die before you die. Your ego is the biggest obstacle to real peace.
  3. "There is a woman at the beginning of all great things." ~Alphonse de Lamartine Happy international women's day!?
  4. @Vibroverse @Vibroverse Leo is always denying that.
  5. @Leo Gura Then why are all the gurus saying that your true nature is peace/happiness? So they are lying? All enlightened beings are saying that your true nature(=Truth) is peace, joy, happiness.
  6. In Leos video "65 Core Principles Of Living The Good Life" he says that happiness is not possible without enlightenment and that enlightenment is the only way to become happy. Why can't one be happy without enlightenment? Is it true that enlightenment is the only way? Im just asking out of curiosity. Thanks guys:D
  7. @Megan Alecia Its quite difficult. Suffering is always there.
  8. @Leo Gura But there are many people who are saying that they are happy, truly happy and they think they are going to die, they are not enlightened.
  9. Why does God dream up this reality only to have the desire to wake up from it? Why does God want to escape the dream, which it has created in the first place? Why does it not stay in this dream forever, without ever waking up to itself? thanks
  10. Hey guys, so one of my main reasons to pursue awakening is the escape of suffering/to live in peace, blissful and happy. But I realized that these reasons are huge self-biases, which are directed towards satisfying my ego. They are a part of my survival agenda. So very selfish reasons to pursue awakening as you can see. So should I try to let go of these motivations? and should I try to change my motivations for example to pursue Truth for its own sake? thank you guys
  11. @Moksha So you are saying happiness is not possible without enlightenment?
  12. @vladorion Why are your pursuing enlightenment then?
  13. @Moksha But isn't the search for happiness/freedom a very selfish reason? Because this search promises benefits for the ego.
  14. Hi guys, So what is meant, when people on the spiritual path talk about "escaping suffering"? Are these emotional problems they try to run away from? Are these more existential sufferings? What kind of suffering are these people, who use it as a motivation for enlightenment, trying to escape? Thanks for the answers
  15. @Leo Gura What if you have both motivations? You want to avoid suffering and at the same time you seek Truth for its own sake? Is it then possible to find Truth/ get awakened?
  16. So it wasn't a positive experience for you at all?
  17. @Breakingthewall very well-said?? thank you May I ask you what your motivation for enlightenment is?
  18. @Breakingthewall Did enlightenment or enlightenment experiences gave you the freedom you are seeking? Because I myself have a deep desire for real freedom.
  19. Wanting to understand the Truth and wanting to escape suffering/experience heaven/peace are both coming from the ego. Leo is always saying that this work isnt about liberating oneself from the ego or about experiencing heaven/deep peace, but rather it is about wanting to understand the Truth for its own sake. But in the end all desires are coming from the ego. So in that sense it doesnt matter what your motivation for this work is because in both cases you are operating from the ego. It will all lead to the same place- enlightenment/God/Love.
  20. @VeganAwake Thanks for sharing. May I ask you from which book this is? thank you
  21. This life we are living is obviously consistent. If it wasn't consistent then you would become insane. One moment you would see your mother standing there and the other moment she would turn into a giraffe. But God wants to experience a consistent sane life here. Im pretty sure there is a world out there with many inconsistencies. By the way, with psychedelics you can break this consistency.
  22. @Leo Gura Thank you for being so honest and direct, Leo.
  23. @Leo Gura But why is it a "ass-backwards" path if you pursue enlightenment because of happiness/peace? Can you explain that to me please?
  24. @Leo Gura Then I guess, I will never reach enlightenment. But anyways thank you for being honest. Maybe the spiritual path isn't a path for me. I always thought that you can awaken if you want to escape suffering or pursue happiness. I guess, I was wrong.
  25. @Leo Gura For most people it is the most important thing. It is the only way that lasting happiness and peace are possible. And the most direct way.
