  1. That's it in a nutshell ... If there's some fixated, exclusive self-identity as a 'spiritual teacher' then that pretence too must be dispelled. If this is truly known, that it's another dream role, then at best there is bound to be some playing 'let's pretend.'
  2. @Samra Here's another inquiry ... If the dream and dreamer are not two, what wakes up from what?
  3. Curiously, Madam Blavatsky was also born in the Ukraine ... maybe you could be the second coming of the spiritual Madam
  4. @Natasha Doesn't the name Natasha have some significance in reference to the birth of Christ? How much more spiritual do ya want to be? Wouldn't really work with Madam though, and besides M. Blavatsky already claimed it ...
  5. @Natasha A name that is a palindrome would be kinda cool ... How about Madam Ahsatan ?
  6. Alas, there is the rub, all those fixated woulda-coulda-shoulda self-identities grasping at the slinky.
  7. @Shanmugam I assure you that my avatar is a close enough representation of my reclusive and solitary nature, and my current snowy environment, as well as my hair colour ... Oh, and I have a long 'tale' I could talk about.
  8. Looks as frustrating as 'attaining' enlightenment
  9. So the Divine is a He now? How politically incorrect! Not to worry ... seems you're in good company ... In the delicious night, In privacy, where no one saw me, Nor did I see one thing, I had no light or guide But the fire that burned inside my chest. That fire showed me The way more clearly than the blaze of noon To where, waiting for me, Was the One I knew so well, In that place where no one ever is. Oh night, sweet guider, Oh night more marvelous than dawn! Oh night which joins The lover and the beloved So that the lover and beloved change bodies! In my chest full of flowers, Flowering wholly and only for Him, There He remained sleeping; I cared for Him there, And the fan of the high cedars cooled Him. The wind played with His hair, and that wind from the high Towers struck me on the neck With its sober hand; Sight, taste, touch, hearing stopped. I stood still, I forgot who I was, My face leaning against Him, Everything stopped, abandoned me, My worldliness was gone, forgotten Among the white lilies. ~ St. John of the Cross from The Collected Works of St. John of the Cross
  10. Oh, I can do drama, just watch this ... @Nahm Materialist tree-killer !!
  11. OMG! You definitely need more nightmare practice!
  12. Ah come on now ... Surely not worse than your worst nightmare?!
  13. Isn't it somewhat ironic that when the dream is known to be a dream, and that the Dream and the Dreamer are not two, it's no longer imperative to wake up.
  14. @Shanmugam No way man, the snowleopard version of the Dream is definitely more valid than yours, or any others
  15. Why is there the dream that the dream is not a dream? How else would nightmares be possible? To the self-perpetuating Dream no possibility is precluded.
  16. Inasmuch as one is not dreaming that the dream is not a dream does it really matter which dream one prefers to express and explore within?
  17. @egoless I'd suggest that the purpose of it all is to dream up the purpose of it all ... it's quite unconditional that way.
  18. @reku02 Well, it's a philosophical question, and basically you're wondering if an ontology based in physicalism is more or less plausible than idealism. One case to be made for going with idealism is expressed by Bernardo Kastrup, who makes the case that idealism need not be incompatible with scientific empiricism. Here is a recent talk in which he gets into this, with a good Q&A session ... if so inclined.
  19. @reku02 So you want a conceptual explanation for that which cannot be conceptually explained?
  20. It is void of the explainable or nameable. Even 'void' is one word too many. Depersonalization Disorder seems like a psychiatric term applied to the falling away of fixated egoic self-identification. Alas, it is the burden of a new fixated self-identity ... 'someone with a disorder.' That too must be dispelled.
  21. @Charlotte It's neti, neti, until not even that ... Not good with words? Not to worry. Talk to the wind ... It does not care .
  22. I predict that all of society will be enlightened by the year zero
