  1. It sure did remind me of something https://time.com/5835244/accidental-poisonings-trump/ ?
  2. Just gonna leave this here https://www.newsweek.com/jamestown-trump-1548653
  3. ^why are you so hostile? Americans certainly aren't "powerful" because of 74 million inbred idiots voting for a Hitler wannabe, that's for damn sure.
  4. MAGA people wearing masks? That's rich. Maybe like 15% of them, but that's being generous. Large gatherings of any kind are stupid and dangerous right now. They're even more stupid and dangerous by people refusing to wear masks and believe it's some kind of hoax. Remember the Sturgis disaster?
  5. So when do we get a recount on the states Trump won? Or do recounts only apply for states he loses, and somehow this mass vote fraud scheme didn't effect the senate?
  6. He's threatening democracy and being a crybaby bitch. Zero evidence, wasting everyone's time, except for people who enjoy watching a toddler in his 70s throw the world's biggest temper tantrum.
  7. The Trumpers in my family use God and the bible as an excuse, and refuse to yield to any type of rational argument. They get really seething angry when I pose my more left leaning (not even extreme left, just slightly to the left) views. They're incapable of seeing another side. I'm able to see their views and relate, because I myself used to identify as a conservative. But their rhetoric is extreme. I keep the peace as much as possible though. I know some people who have cut off their family who voted for Trump. I'm able to sympathize a bit, because I feel bad for someone who is able to do easily be brainwashed. Not that I've never been brainwashed or that I'm not brainwashed now. But I'm actively trying to become more loving and objective. Anyways, this whole election cycle, and reflection of the past 4 years, has stirred up some anxiety in me. Probably will need to just unplug for a while, but it's hard to when the country I love has a lot going on right now.
  8. Yeah, you see, this country allowed the slave owners and southern soldiers/generals to be free after the Civil War. No trial against them. They were allowed to run off and continue to deeply sow the seeds of racist discord. Nothing is going to happen to MAGAts. They'll be allowed to continue to spout off their rhetoric with zero repercussion or rebuke from the government.
  9. Well yes, we need our leaders to denounce white supremacy, and allow the FBI to root it out of all organizations, especially the police force. Also need to denounce and control alt right terrorism. That won't happen overnight, and obviously there's a lot of groundwork needed before we can unify. But the message of unity is basic and an obvious end goal that comes after the fight against radical ideologies. Hopefully Biden and the democrats will actually take the required steps instead of just airing empty fantasies and hope.
  10. What I'm asking is that if the message of unity isn't the answer, then what is? Genuinely curious on how this country can begin to heal.
  11. Then what's needed? More divisiveness and a civil war? May the best side win?
  12. Unity absolutely is the message that Biden and the democrats need to push for. This isn't the end, this isn't even the beginning of the end. This is the end of the beginning, and a message of unity and healing needs to take root like yesterday.
  13. Let the FBI investigate and take down white supremacists.
  14. 70 million people that plague this country. Imagine if a competent populist comes along in the near future. That could be scary.
  15. Thank god. Let the body scramble. They're outnumbered, and their days are numbered.
  16. Yeah, why wouldn't he? Biden is going to work to repair foreign relations, and also get the US to rejoin WHO and the Paris clinate agreement.
  17. Don't be. Recounts typically only affect maybe a few hundred votes, not thousands.
  18. This polarization began to grow in the 80s and 90s, and really started to amplify heavily in the last couple of decades. Hopefully we don't have much longer of this crap, but we probably have another couple of decaded at least.
  19. Cool, another soon to be Austinite. I live in Austin.
  20. More like a lack of education and rejection of science. Republicans need to keep the populous stupid so they'll keep voting for them like the sheep they are.
  21. Conveniently this is announced right when Trump is losing his reelection...
  22. This guy nails it. Man, what is with this cult? I understand that these are growing pains for our current development in society, but what is it going to take for nearly 50% of our population to outgrow Trumpism? I almost feel like saying screw it, give up, let the fascist regime reign supreme, and those of us who don't want it move away to another country. Let the authoritarians have what they want, and just watch as an outside observer the self-induced collapse of a democratic country.
