"Solipsism" and "capitalism" are academic words, and their meaning is very specific compared to other words. By using them, you're making a gesture towards academia, and when you then separate the words from how they're generally understood in academia, that adds a layer of confusion. "Love" or "truth" are basic words that you simply pick up by learning the language. The confusion is simply at the level of meaning (unless the person is an academic in those subjects, but most people here aren't). -

I edited my post slightly. -

There are levels to this though. Imagine if I referred to non-duality as capitalism. It's that level of confusion. Words like "love", "truth" and "oneness" are a bit different. -

Yes, so better to use words that are not confusing. -

If the changed man routine is just about external appearances, what if he convinces most of his fans that he was falsely prosecuted (granted that he is going to jail at all)? Romanian courts and all? Does he even need to perform the changed man routine when he comes out? Who else does he need to keep up his appearance for? The Matrix always hated him anyways, and his whole shtick is to not compromise on his lifestyle just because the Matrix tells him to -

Like when Tim Leary was also hated by the entire "Matrix" and went to jail as well There are actually so many parallels between Leary and Tate: "the most dangerous man in America", "the most googled man on Earth". I see. The next Osho, but only with the nice cars -

What are you basing your predictions on? I was just reminded by Tim Leary, who was close friends with Ram Dass, but who didn't have the same drive as Dass to pursue spirituality. Leary was known as a bit of a bad boy in his youth, hence why my mind associated him with Tate. In other words, being on the darker side of the personality spectrum seems to have a pretty strong effect on deterring you from truly looking inwards. -

What stopped Tim Leary from going on a spiritual arc like his friends? -
Try living in Norway

I guess such videos can be a reminder that when people are expressing suicidal tendencies and they're justifying it using spiritual ideas, be very deliberate about how you're giving advice and focus on grounding them, don't use it as just another oppurtunity to mentally masturbate about non-duality.

And it's why we should stop using the word. -

The dreamer is not a person. All persons, including what you refer to by your own name, are dreamed up. -

Because it's a very extreme case of valuing intellect over experience. -
And (many) psychedelics are nausea-inducing drugs, probably most noticably when there is food in your stomach.
-
ChatTopG: 5-HT3 agonism induces nausea, irrespective of mushroom flesh.
-
When I think about it, I remember reading that ginger has some serotonergic activity ? Maybe it counteracts the activity caused by the psychedelics.

? No, he presumably eats the same breakfast every day, only that day he took LSD. I thought he knew that you're not supposed to eat much before tripping.
-
I guess my friend eats toxins for breakfast every day then ? You would probably agree with that anyway ?
-
Where did you learn this? The nausea could be caused by indigestion of the flesh due to changes in serotonin activity in the gut. That could explain why if you take a powder instead, you don't get indigestion, because you're not eating any food. I've witnessed people puking on an LSD come-up probably because they ate breakfast beforehand (I didn't and I didn't puke).
-
It can cause some nausea if you eat the flesh and don't make it in a tea for example. It's not deadly though.

The dark blue color also includes factors like mental impairment and dependence. There is virtually no such thing as dependence when it comes to mushrooms. However, the paper defines mental impairment as something like mental health damage, which is of course a potential risk, but it's not like a passive "brain frying effect" (as far as we know), but rather that it might trigger some underlying conditions, or just cause a very unpleasant experience. That is why it's important to be careful with dosages and such, especially people who are mentally unstable.

Psilocybin mushrooms are probably one of the most innocuous things you can eat healthwise
