  2. I was watching Sadhguru the other day and one student asked him: "How come we are so spiritually developed, yet we are so poor?". To which he replied and said, among other things, that only a few centuries prior, India was #1 wealthy country in the world and we were hyperdeveloped in all possible domains and that they were pretty much always a rich country That made me want to dig on this and sort of "fact check" Sadghuru. And he was actually right, India INDEED was the richest country a few centuries ago and many years centuries prior to that Then I found various statistics and it turns out that China and India were pretty much always #1-2 economies in the World and they were basically competing only with each other for #1 title. Even Roman Empire's economy was 2-3 times less as big. The only times where Indian's/China's economies sapped from #1-2 rank is when they got heavily oppressed by other countries (British Raj) or had huge civil wars (as in Communist Party/China's Republic war in 1927-1949). But even then, they were still developing at a steady pace and then quickly caught up I found a great video illustration of countries GDP in 1-2020 years (AD) and I found it super fascinating: That all makes me wonder how eastern mysticism and philosophy, directly and indirectly, influenced this situation and could it be the proof that it is in many ways superior to the western one. Of course, resources and environment all play a key role too, but we cannot deny that where it comes to intellect, Asian people on average tend to be superior and it shows especially well in Intellectual types of sports (like an emerging Cybersports, for example), where your physical shape & physical genetics play the last role and what actually matters is purely the power of your mind Would love to get your thoughts on this topic, guys, I feel like it is all super fascinating and worthwhile to study/think/contemplate about!
  3. Well done, brother!
  4. You don't even have to approach women to practice this skillset, honestly. Just approach 1000s of people in general and spark conversations with them, charm them. Then approaching and charming women will be much much more easier I once approached around 1k people in 3 days, that grew me TREMENDOUSLY in that department
  5. They only prob is that China was pretty much always a top 1-top2 economy in the world for the past 2k+ years
  6. Jesus, that's gonna be a massive development for China. That's actually HUGE

  8. Especially since human is such an amazing animal. We can do so much stuff with our mind and intuition, it's mind-bogging. Sometimes spending way TOO MUCH time meditating can feel like a waste, indeed, cause even with spiritual powers, I am sure you can channel it all into something creative. I imagine being a rabbit for example, and it feels so meh. I think running from wolves and stuff can be quite fun, with all honesty. But ultimately, I feel lt is actually not that exciting , and you pretty much die instantly if you fail at it. Maybe that's why they breed so much, need to make a circle of life keep rolling
  9. @Leo Gura I have a question if I may What's the point of awakening from the existential point of view? Why not just fully live like animal (human-animal) and enjoy it? Why become woke at all, what's the point of it? There seems to be no fundamental difference between these modalities - Being an animal, and being a woke animal. Sure, you get way more understanding of reality this way, I guess, and it probably can be a pleasureful and nice way of being, if you are woke, maybe even you'd suffer bit less than other animals. But isn't it fundamentally just another state of consciousness and fundamentally there is completely no difference between being woke & unwoke in life? It feels a bit just like a more esthetic way to live life - to be enjoying these kinda higher pleasures, that are not for everybody kind of thing and not as a necessity as in like "If you don't get woke in your life time - your life is completely wasted) I am personally inclined to enjoy all these "higher pleasures", but it's kinda my personality profile/karma in this lifetime and I can easily see and actually feel/experience how to fully live just like a human animal and still totally enjoy it. Or even combine it all. But do we really need to maintain this good/bad dichotomy about awakening? As in, if you're not awake or at least pursuing awakening - you're almost an inferior human being/wasting your life, and if you do - you're doing something great, keep doing that, (mate). Something tells me, though, that if you awake/obtain higher spiritual insights & power during a lifetime, you might be carrying it on to your next life(lives) and it will actually by highly beneficial to do so, cause you'll assumably get more control over your subjective experience/this whole thing or whatever. But it's just my speculation/intuitions
  10. Tbh I feel like he is indeed strawmaning Jordan Peterson big time. I think Jordan Peterson actually understands and thinks about society from holistic angles as well and I am sure he is pro-social reforms. While for his audience, he stresses big-time personal responsibility. Leo essentially does the same in his channel, he constantly shoves the message onto your face how important it is to take charge of your life, be disciplined, invest in yourself, etc. Take even his latest video as an example, basically, the same message as JP usually does but in Leo's own unique way and angle The only difference I see is that Leo talks about big picture stuff way more when JP is giving advice in a sort of therapy/coaching 1v1 way. Perhaps his therapy practice background is influencing this a lot)
  11. I personally feel like you're catering way too much for a scientific audience even in your own videos. Like debunking some silly materialist point for 1h~ when the video itself is only 2h. Sometimes it makes me kinda yawn a bit, or want to speed the video up. Other relevant parts make it all worth it anyways, though
  12. @Late Boomer You can just drag your notes (& other files) from one vault to another in your file system and it will automatically combine Yeah, all these systems are great and very valuable to learn, however, in the end, the best way is to "Kill Buddha on the road" so to speak and start developing your own systems/heuristics of how you journal, it will give the highest yields
  13. Extroverted people get into a contact with 100s of women doing their extraverted thing naturally, probably even 1000s for some Ur kinda projecting your life experience onto these people. Do 100s-1000s of approaches, learn from them, and it will super easy if you are in a at least semi-decent spot in your life
  14. @Late Boomer For me that's the whole appeal of Obsidian - how easy you can structure your mess while not needing to have a rigid hierarhichal structure like in Onenote and other apps. Other apps force you into a hierarchy, with Obsidian you can create a note-taking holarchy which you can scale to infinity. You can still create structure, but you can do it in a kinda decentralized way, which is super cool! Try to research Zeikeister note-taking method, you'll get a bunch of nice ideas. For me, some shit gets really lost in Onenote as I have over 1k notes here and it's really hard to keep the perfect hierarchy. In Obsidian, I don't feel like anything get's lost. Obsidian feels perfect for my brain/the way I constantly want to connect things to each other. Whole experience just feels so smooth For putting stuff, I put very similar stuff in it as Leo, but I do it in my own kinda way. Imo, writing such journals should be very uniquely tailored to your own personality/quirks, which is essentially about developing your own system/methodology of notetaking. Sorry If my wording is a bit messy, I didn't sleep for a while
  15. There is a plugin that kills YT recommendations and other annoying stuff like this
  16. I found this new version of one note to be really shitty Check out obsidian
  17. It's okay I've been doing mostly weight training for the latest years with some cardio and stuff like that mixed it. Right now I am incorporating way more mobility stuff like yoga and overall I'm trying to make the whole experience more "conscious" and also try to use workouts to raise my consciousness somehow, so it doesn't get wasted, body awareness kind of stuff. I'm quite new to this type of workouts, trying to develop my own ways actually
  18. A lot of philosophers from Greece were ripped as fuck, though, if we believe their statues
  19. Im not judging anybody I personally struggle with this as I tend to spend way too much time at the gym when I go there. Perhaps I also use this time to kinda chill and I rarely allow myself to chill in my usual time But yeah, Ken Wilber is a sexy mofo
