  1. I don't mean to be offensive at all, but so called "Nazis" are actually situated pretty close to Donbass region if we are to believe the story. They say the most famous nazi battalion is Azov - which is named for its proximity to Azov Sea, which is on the east of Ukraine. And their base is believed to be in Mariopol, which is in the east as well and very close to Donbass. So they didn't really need to travel anywhere, they were very close I really really don't mean to be offensive, but most Ukrainians from Kiev and western Ukraine are oblivious regarding what's was going on to the east of them, people that are 20-35 just simply didn't care and didn't bother to study it, because why would they? And I don't judge you or them, If I were from western Ukraine, I probably wouldn't care at all about what's going on here
  2. And now both civilian Ukrainians and Russians are afraid to go here on vacations, lol, me included So it's basically the turn for Russian combatans to chill here on a beach and enjoy mountain's air, cause it's heavily militarized now
  3. Yep, the issue is that eastern parts of Ukraine were never really Ukrainian until USSR shinagans and its collapse, hence they just have predominantly Russian culture here, that's why it is so different and that's why there were these civic disturbances and wars and that's why they pretty much hate each other With or without Russia, there was an ethnic conflict inside Ukraine in this region, which is basically culture/ethnicity based, you can call it nazism or not, it doesn't matter. It didn't have to be resolved with such cruelty from both Ukrainian forces side (Before 2022) and from Russian forces, that's for sure, but it is what it is
  4. In a sense what they are saying is true in that Russia was trying very heavily to interfere with Ukrainian affairs all these years. Trying to elect pro-Russian president for example and so forth and people was aware about what's going on It's not really as simple as Russia\Putin or Ukraine\Ukrainians or Nazis or West are good/bad, there is a deeper systemic issue at play that is more values-based. For Ukraine, being a Pro-Russian means basically to go for this orderly-like society with iron fist as a main issue solver and slowdown on all pluralistic goodies that are prominent in the west right now But the majority of Ukrainians truly don't want it, there is actually something unique about Ukraine ethnic and that is they are extremely freedom loving as a culture. It is a Cossacks culture, they don't want USSR-esque bullshit. That's why there was always some conflict and some sort of codependence between Russian ethnics and Ukrainians even within Russian Empire because of this presise issue. They don't want to sit at Saint-Petersburg or Moscow and write some bullshit poems, they want to be at nature and enjoy life, they want to build no empire unlike Russian people. That's basically Ukrainian POV in a nutshell That's why there also was and is a strong big hippie movement in Ukraine. In a sense, among all post-soviet countries, Ukraine is the greenest of them all. They can take weed there freely and noone will bat an eye, there is a huge psychedelic movement in Karpaty' region because shrooms are basically under each tree and only the lazy won't experiment with them But there are also nazis
  5. Dude, I agreed with Leo that nazis are not #1 problem and cause of all this bullshit happening, you can read it in a few pages behind All my point was is that there are actual nazis in Ukraine and it is influencing the situation. No, i'm not saying that 100% of ukrainians are nazi, not 50%, not even 25%, but there is some % and they are creating some trouble Right now sure, it all makes most ukrainians basically naturally hate russians, and hate for a good reason
  6. Yeah, I feel you, it indeed hijacks our animalistic minds in a big way ---- [edited] @Something Funny I didn't realize I was speaking to actual Ukrainians here and that one of them is female. I want to actually say sorry for being so dismissive. I am personally very sorry about what's going in your country right now and I think it's a disaster. There are many different factors at play of course, but we all cannot deny that people are dying and there are a lot of civilian casualties on both sides which is shit. All I can say that both of our countries are extremely corrupt and they don't really deserve to have the likes of us in them. I hope this corruption will end soon but realistically speaking it's not gonna be that fast I hope we will all one day stand together as brothers and settle our differences so we won't have to have this bullshit that is going on right now We can then count who has more nazis in our countries together
  7. Ahh, that explains a lot. Go watch all videos on Leo's channel, then we'll talk
  8. Your claims are simply too ridicolous and biased to spend my time deconstructing it, go educate yourself (at least with legit western sources), or find better things to do
  9. Lol Anyways, I'm out of here, you're definetely are not valuing understanding or truth, good luck finding people to talk to. I suggest to go to some reddit or telegram channels with your combative attitude, you'll belong very well there.
  10. Meh, sorry, but you just keep making strawmans, that's ridiculous FYI, I stopped going to school in Russia after like 7th grade and before 7th grade I was constantly running from classes, so I was lucky to not receive as much propaganda as my peers in that regard, which in big turn helped me also to develop myself so that we are now speaking on this forum and not on some reddit or 4chan Based on your distorted view in your posts you definetely have no idea about Ukraine's history just like most westerners, which is why I suggest you go study it in some unbiased source (or study versions of both sides - will be even better for overall understanding)
  11. @Something Funny @no_name Sorry, but you guys seem to severely lack context of what was going on in Ukraine region in the last 30 years, 300 years historical context and its political climate now and then As you seem to be very Western biased, I will suggest you to go listen to the content of Oleksey Arestovich to learn more about it all. He is an ukraininan propagandist and a direct advisor of Zelensky and obviously very biased towards Ukraine (West), yet he is a philosopher first and foremost and clearly has truth in one of the highest values so gives a rather accurate perception on things (unlike many propagandists in Russia, truth be told) You'll learn a lot here, there are many videos of him on youtube, many have good English subtitles. English wikipedia also has some good unbiased info on it all (or maybe slightly biased towards pro-west Ukraine, but it should be fine for you I guess) But also, watch your biases and projections. I'm not pro-russian guy by any means. I consume some russian propaganda but at very moderate dosages for scientific purposes and my own contemplation. Besdies it I've consumed I guess more than 50 different resources at a whole spectrum both pro-russian and pro-western it's just intellectualy dishonest to call me a pro-russian, lol. I've personally done a pretty good holistic analysis of a situation, so I think I have a rather integrative overview on it all. All I'm doing is just pointing at your misunderstandings of a situation and some missing pieces of the whole picture. Which is what Leo tries to do in this topic too. This forum obviously has a very western leaning (and I guess I lean western as well), so it's unsurprising to see that you guys don't really bother that much to study non-western POV and understand it, but still
  12. So what? Ukraine is divided as fuck even without Donbass, people will not vote for or relate to only 1 nazi organization In Russia we don't even have 1% of far right parties in Parliament, by your logic we have 0 nazis?
  13. The problem with it though is that most liberals will flee for good and Russia will legimately fully become a nationalistic country with even easier automatic nationalistic reelection
  14. Nice take actually and I think is so true. Because from what I see, both liberal minded Ukrainians and Russians are right now fleeing both countries at a very rapid rate The only people who are truly combative are indeed just right wing people on both sides
  15. @Something Funny Sorry it's triggering, but one of my highest value is truth and it's just true that there are radical nazis in the region, at least we have a good evidence of it Whatever atrocities Russian army is commiting right now or Russia as a collective commited in the past towards Ukraine doesn't mean I support it/have supported it ever We are having some meta discussion here, I don't know why you have to go personal You don't even know If I'm actually Russian or not ethnically, lol
  16. @Something Funny @Something Funny 5-10% isn't that big of a number. It would be people who pretty much directly support neo-nazi ideas with 1-2% or less the most radical ones who take the actual action You attack me as though I said that 99% of ukrainians are nazis when I am basically saying the opposite but just stressing that there (!) are actual nazis and they are kind of a big deal
  17. @Something Funny ? Why are you pegging me like this as though I am advocating for Russian agenda here
  18. Maybe, but it is reported they commited big atrocities in Ukrainian civic Donbass war, which is why there was such outrage here, i wouldn't competely dismiss iit Though I agree with you of course that West issue is more way more primal
  19. Hehe, not really, but only because they all got heavily persecuted and killed/jailed in latest years Maybe before this we actually had more legit nazis that's true In a sense Putin has some integrity in his antinazi policy
  20. But there are and they are very cruel and stage Reddish I've seen a lot of videos of them committing various kind of atrocities and basically revealing their consciousness and vibe. And the thing is, they have their military organizations I am sure most of them would love to turn Ukraine into full fascist state However, it's for sure not anything close to majority of Ukrainians that are like this Maybe it is like 5-10% of Ukraine population or something similar But the problem is is that they are highly weaponized and they participate in wars (Esp Donbass wars in 2014-2022) Whole Putins argument of why he calls Zelensky a nazi is because they seemingly supported these guys with various goodies and political weight
  21. Try it for a bit just for experience sake
  22. What's especially funny is that this is the war both against Liberals and against Far Right, cause there are (!) undeniably neonazis in Ukraine, but of course Zelensky and his administration is not them For some reason, our propaganda machine equates liberals and progressives with neo nazis as one thing and our public just eats it, lol (or denies the existence of nazis, which is quite ignorant as well to be honest)
  23. @Leo Gura I like how Oleksey Arestovich, who is basically an Ukrainian version of Ken Wilber you could say, puts it that war in Ukraine is basically the battle of Stage Blue vs Stage Orange hemispheres The thing is, Ukraine as a nation is pretty separated culturally as well, it has deeply conservative people here, as well as a lot of progressives and liberal types and basically Zelensky is one of them (he is very green and probably even yellow+, I studied him in his artistic career for a bit) People who are stage orange and above basically for the most part vote for NATO and for EU integration, all this good stuff, while conservative folk for the most part rooting for Russia and Russian world (though some of them hate Russia of course and want everyone to just leave them alone with their Karpaty mountain) Nonetheless, a lot of more conservative people are fleeing to Russia (!) willingly and they are (!) pretty happy here as far as I can tell. They see Ukrainian NATO and EU shinanigsnd as a deep corruption of Ukraine, "siding with fa***** and perverts". A lot view it as an enhancement to their lives Of course it's divided geographically as well, Western Ukraine, which is basically closer to EU is more liberal, while the East & South that are closer to Russia are more conservative
  24. Study him and his politics, bro He is basically like Trump, but more skilled and wise. Very good for conservative people, not so much for progressives and liberals In a sense, yachts are a childish pleasure, Putin and people like him like to play something more serious and get the joy out of it
  25. True, the problem is Putin is not stupid We have tons of new subsidy programs going right now for people who are patriotically minded and want to help build infrastructure for them. They are basically flushing money onto people right now and giving them a life purpose as into rebuilding the great Russia together. A little bit like Maga feel, but way more subsidies and more smart people following it I myself even got some free tax exemtps and goodies, lol, despite me having almost 0 to do actively participating inside Russian economy, all the business I've done for the past 3-5 years was abroad clients
