  1. Ahh, that fella - the name sounded vaguely familiar but I couldn't think who he was, but I recognise the producing because he also produced a few All Saints songs and you can definitely hear the similarities:
  2. Did look that way, and to be honest I couldn't entirely blame him because Spain are clearly a better team. I agree, it's just that it had become all about winning at all costs for me, and then when I started to see how unimportant winning actually was, my interest in it started to fall away pretty drastically.
  3. I've found that my interest in sports has massively fallen away post-awakening for the most part, tbh - it just started to seem really silly to attach so much importance to putting a ball in a net or whatever, though I do still have some lingering emotional attachment to certain teams.
  4. I gave it a swerve for the most part, because I was still deflated after the semi-final loss and figured the third-place play-off match was pretty meaningless anyway - then I saw the French were in serious danger of making an improbable comeback from 4-0 down and suddenly I found myself caring quite a lot about the outcome.😂 Insane game though - amazing what can happen when the pressure's off, if that had been the final it probably would have looked a lot like the awful spectacle we got yesterday.
  5. Completely agree with that, I'm no great fan of Argentina with all their cynicism but I can't really warm to Spain either, with the way they play. They manage to be both very impressive and yet somehow also completely forgettable, imo.
  6. Speaking as a Manchester United fan, that's the least I'd give him.😂 I'd tend to agree that England should be too strong, but I think it'll be a very close game so you just never know.
  7. That result last night will definitely have given us more belief, still lots of tricky hurdles to overcome though. Given ourselves half a chance though (that's about as close to cock-eyed optimism as you're going to get from an Englishman ).
  8. Fair play, you called it! Some result that for England, not an easy assignment but we did enough. Not that I actually watched it (did watch the highlights), would have meant getting up at 2am and I was just way too tired. Glad I didn't watch it quite frankly, don't think I could have handled the stress.
  9. Wish I shared your feeling.😅
  10. Speaking as an Englishman, I'm dreading it.😂 It's the issue of the high altitude as much as anything, the Mexicans are acclimatised to it and we're not - we'll have to be very smart with our approach or I can see us getting well beaten.
  11. Mine too, and I'm not a podcast kinda guy.😸
  12. Knowing me I'm probably very late on this, but I've just seen this on Youtube now and I simply must share.😂
  13. Nice.😄
  14. I've been listening to so much music recently, I swear I'm addicted. I always had a love affair with music, but I've had phases in the last few turbulent, trying years when I just fell out of love with it, had no desire for it - and a part of me felt so sad about it. As I'm slowly healing, though, I'm rediscovering my love for it - and I find myself wanting to share the music that stirs my soul with other people, the way my friends and lovers introduced me to music I would come to love deeply. In that spirit, my first choice is going to be a song that was shared with me by one of the most beautiful people I ever met, a wonderful Texan woman called Zulabelle - she introduced me to so much music, and I swear she never shared a song with me that I didn't absolutely adore:
  15. Right, exactly. It might just put your mind at ease knowing that you've got pen and paper close to hand if you need it.
  16. No harm in seeing it again.😂
  17. Might be best to keep a notepad and pen nearby just in case, and if a really earth-shattering idea or insight comes you, note it down there and then. But I mean, only if it's really significant.
  18. I like Homer's take on it, personally:
  19. Looks like it's put that poor fucker to sleep too.
  20. I sit in the half-lotus position (which is cross-legged, but with the foot of one leg resting on the calf of the other). I also sit on a folded-up blanket so that my hips are above the level of my knees (a firm cushion would also work), that's been a real game-changer for me because it allows me to sit comfortably upright without straining my back.
  21. That's an incorrect definition, a paedophile is a person who's attracted to pre-pubescent children, which is typically children aged 10-11 and under.
