Well said @Emptystickfigure -
That sounds like some ride @zenjen , thank you so much for sharing. What I was trying to say with my comment was that to what is perceived as normal in life, coming to a place whereby Truth starts to bubble up it can definitely begin to manifest in some pretty interesting ways, some of which can easily be framed as psychosis in modern society. Personally through the 10 years or so that I suffered from deep depression I used to actually will suffering into my life, and offer it up so that others may suffer less. I used to have pictures of sick and dieing children on the wall next to my bed so that I could be reminded to be compassionate and humble in everything I did. I was so arrogant in my humility, I felt like I was chosen by Jah to carry the weight of the world on my shoulders so I definitely know where you are coming from to some degree. I barely slept, talked or ate either, it was a massive struggle. It was also a massive gift though, as from that mud the lotus bloomed. Relative to what you are going through I see it as a healthy sign that you identify with Jesus as it says to me that within you lies the drive and passion to help shape a better world. His teachings are definitely pure and ring true as he was trying to awaken people to the inner light that shines within us all and can lead to our freedom. When it all falls away it is seen that we are all part of Story (or consciousness if you prefer) that can not be owned by a you or a me. From this viewpoint it is easy to see how through the interconnectedness of the sum of all being, and carrying that within us, we can tap into aspects and they can feel so real. Where are you at today with your journey if you do not mind me asking?

Yes of course, although the words true and false are seen for what they are, words. It is the losing of meaning that actually gives them meaning, the two aspects converge. From within the dualistic set of conditions that is our language there are always going to be limitions in explaining what is non-dual it can only point. This will bend your mind but how would we see one if two didn't exist? Everything has its place. -

In a sense yes, although what is not true will just naturally fall away. -

@egoless here is the thing. Enlightenment is the acceptance of what is ordinary, it is basically life without the add ons. Through become fulfilled by what is ordinary fulfilling paths naturally unfold in front of you. It isn't hard, it is simplistic beyond your wildest imagination. -

@John it's true that your life can shift completely and take on a whole new meaning but as @Shanmugam points out that isn't always the case. The majority of enlightened people don't have the need to talk about it. Sure your motivations will shift but you will continue living. Truth is completely without limitations. @egoless a friend of mine became enlightened and he just fell into the finance industry. He didn't have any qualifications but within 6 months in his new job he went from being an assistant bookkeeper to the finance manager of a successful solar company. He was the sole provider for his family and just did what he had to do to and accepted the grace of the unfolding magic. -
Brimstone replied to Pelin's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
The insect rave is funny as hey @Pelin . I liked the end when centipede fell over trying to recapture the moment and buggy thought he was funny showing the effortlessness of being. It sounds like you are in a very beautiful space. -
Brimstone replied to Pelin's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
That is so beautiful @Key Elements It reminded me of going to raves, just closing your eyes, and surrendering to the energy, I was good at that, or at least the ego used to think so. Struggles always returned when I opened my eyes though. Its funny you say think back to a time you were that, it was actually making a decision to surrender my control to my 3 year old daughter and just follow her and go at her pace that it all dropped away so can definitely see massive benefits of being more child like so thank you for the reminder. In gratitude -
I would imagine that serious concerns would be raised about you pretty quickly if you ran around telling everyone they did not exist, lol. "Sorry I am not listening to you because you don't exist" "Who I am lives inside me and that is the only thing that is real" I would lock myself up if I ran around saying that to everyone. Maybe I really do need that check up from the neck up Seriously though, it is amazing how the light shines brightest within when things appear at their darkest. Namaste

@John it is a mistake to think that your life stops completely just because you become 'enlightened'. The only thing that changes is that 'who you think you are' and your attachment to that idea and the outcomes it dictates is diminished until it completely dissolves. In other words, the doing still occurs, the thoughts still arise, the experience of you just does not have me/mine/my at the centre of what is unfolding. An example: What am I going to have for dinner? Dinner will not just magically appear just because you are enlightened, you still have to chase the carrot. -

Haha, sorry mate -
Brimstone replied to Samuel Garcia's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
This sums it up perfectly. Even when mind is thinking about now, it is thinking about now after it happened, it is never in the moment in it's thinking, although it only thinks in the moment. Ask yourself @Samuel Garcia what is happening now? That is where you will find your answer. -

lol @Emptystickfigure Who says that the ego exists or doesn't? -

That is beautiful @Serotoninluv, thank you so much for sharing. It is so inspiring when we look back and see the stepping stones that led us to where we are today and even though at times it didn't feel right, it is those times that often make the most sense now. Adyashanti was the one for me, and a couple of people in a forum not dissimilar to this. I always believed in Jah and oneness and only stumbled across non-duality by chance. It resonated deeply and brought a lot of my self enquiries together so it took hold pretty easily. Time appeared to erode it but it has been obviously calling quite loudly the past month or 2, which has brought me back round. Looking back again the stepping stones are perfectly aligned and I can see the relevance and will continue to carry gratitude in my heart as a result. I know what you mean by the oddness of relating, i have been socially anxious and awkward for most of my life. Full realisation changes that though as it opens you up so much, without fear or judgement. If it is to open up again then I will give thanks, if it does not then I will give thanks also, knowing through unknowing that all is perfect as it is, as it will always be. Namaste -

@Serotoninluv I just wanted to add that you are clearly very blessed as getting to the level of awareness you are at is so so beautiful and extraordinarily special. In saying that, Truth realisation isn't about comparisons or isn't about a competition to see who can climb the ladder highest, as that is the egos game. Truth realisation is celebrating all aspects as That, it is the removal of the me from the centre absolutely, which is how it is anyway. Much love -

The imagination is pretty powerful. The different flavours is natural as it manifests itself in many flavours. The flavours are imagination though. IT is completely and utterly flavourless and unable to be experienced by imagination, although it is imagination. As soon as mind recognises it, IT is gone, without going. Yes, this rings true, without being Truthful as the mind is trying to make sense of what it can not, and is still in the game. Getting the concept is that there is nothing to get. Everything dissolves and is cleansed beyond your wildest imagination so you find you have no questions, and see the folly of all your answers. It just is. So very very beautiful. Hope this helps -
Brimstone replied to Wes Thoughts's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Wes Thoughts , if you are feeling it you should just do it, follow what resonates. In saying that mind is misleading you to think that you need to go from here to there to realise what you are looking for, as it doesn't come or go so why is there a need to go anywhere, or do anything. Do you notice the 'here to there' aspect of minds game above? What is that taking you out of? So where do you think you will find what you are looking for? Try asking what will I find there that I will not find here. Look, don't stress or worry about it, just relax into it, as whether you are a seeker or not, if That wants to slap you on your ass and make you see what a blind fool you were it will happen naturally, and without effort. The 'without effort' is the natural occurance of what is happening with every breath, which is what you are doing right now, without effort. Hope this helps -

unity - you-and-i-ty -
Although language is limited in trying to understand and explain 'enlightenment', language has some pretty interesting pointers that reveal very simple truths that are right before our very eyes. This thread is just for any who feel compelled to share their discoveries...... For example When sperm meets egg, it is said to be their moment of................ conception. Does that mean that I was a concept before I was even born? Here's another what is extraordinary, is extra ordinary, or in other words, more ordinary than ordinary. Extraordinary indeed! And another History is his story. I wonder what sort of world we lived in if the conquered didn't have all of their stories destroyed?

@WelcometoReality very cool, makes it much easier to dodge when the light is clear hey, hehe @Blissout what is not mumbo jumbo after one is cleansed by direct experience, revealing what is not direct experience (which is a dangerous realisation without the base of That - oops, there I go again, lol) @AleksM definitely. What is memory a byproduct of though? I am certain you do but do you notice how all 'byproducts' occur within the timeless 'now'? @Dodo niceness, does it concern you how many get hooked though? It either does, or it does not, all is as it should be either way right. @Shanmugam @Nahm you always crack me up mate, lol. -
