And if you look up "ability", there will be another term in that definition that needs to be defined. And the definition of that term will have terms that need to be defined and on and on. . . Words don't have meaning that is 100% objective and specific. The term "potential" can be used in various contexts that are all inter-related. As you mentioned, there is the context of potentials in physics. In thermodynamics there is potential energy. In biology, there is membrane potentials of concentration gradients. In social contexts, we often refer to "potential" as an unmanifested ability, which has a reasonable chance of manifestation. For example, Amanda Gorman has a lot of poetry and performance skills - and she is only 22. In her lifetime, she has the potential to develop into one of the greatest poets ever. She has the potential of creating new forms of poetry that we don't even know exists today.

It depends on your definitions of what counts as truth and bullshit. Is the an objective, universal way to categorize things as either true or bullshit? Ultimately, Nothing / Everything is Truth. Yet that isn’t very useful in navigating life. It comes in handy to create relative truths to navigate life as well as degrees of relative truth. For example, understanding the relative truths of microbes and poisons come in handy, so I make sure not to drink spoiled milk or hydrochloric acid. And it’s helpful to reject ideas like satanic-worshipping birds are stalking me. There are various ways to inspect relative truths. This gets into epistemology. We could test predictions via logic and science. For example, testing vaccines against covid. We could also use our direct experience to inspect truth and guide us. For example, developing intuition can be a powerful tool to help us navigate life.

Another way to look at it. Consider four characters in a sleep dream. How would you rank them in terms of “enlightenment”? Character A in the dream think he knows a lot. Character B in the dream is aware of how little he knows. Character C: The person dreaming realizes they are in a lucid dream and is aware he is playing a dream character that thinks he knows a lot. Character D: The person dreaming realizes they are in a lucid dream and is aware he is playing a dream character that is aware of how little he knows. -

Some nice insights in there. Yet keep in mind that the terms “is” and “are” are used to construct dualisms - which can be deconstructed and reconstructed. Everytime you used the term “is” in the OP, we can deconstruct it down to being either true and false as well as neither true or false. And ultimately, deconstruct to Nothing. To create a distinct thing, there must be a not-that-thing for contrast. A thing is relative to not-that-things. At a higher level relativistic fluency, the mind holds handles of things loosely and is more fluid as it flows from various degrees and mixtures of grounded and groundless. -

Technically, yes. Yet for most people, being continuously mindful during the day is quite difficult. Someone may start meditation by counting breaths and after a few breaths, they have lost all focus / awareness as their mind wanders off. It takes practice. Even if someone can maintain focus / awareness for most of a meditation session, the monkey mind returns as soon as they get on with their day. This is why many meditation do walking meditations - so we can carry on a meditative mindset off the cushion. It’s a bridge between formal seated meditation and regular life. If you feel like you’ve hit a plateau with seated mediation, you may try adding in some more advanced stuff - like in the book The Mind Illuminated. Or try other forms of meditation like breathwork, yin yoga or kriya yoga. Sometimes I take a nature walk with the intention that it be a meditation session. -
There have been lots of theory about the difference between patriotism and nationalism. A google search would reveal many articles and videos. Yet of course there is relativity. There is no objective definition that is universally agreed by everyone. As well, spectrums are continuous and don’t have clear boundaries. That is an inherent feature of language. People do not give the exact same meaning to a word. Yet if we use words as they are not commonly used, there will be confusion. As well, context is important. The term “conscious” has very different meaning to a football coach vs a mystic. Things at opposite ends of a spectrum have differences.. For example, there is a spectrum from short to tall. It is inaccurate to call a professional basketball player a midget. They are at opposite ends of the height spectrum. As well, it is inaccurate to call someone patriotic a neo-Nazi. They are on different ends of a spectrum.
-
I see it as a spectrum of degrees. To me, you are describing endearment and patriotism. Further along the spectrum would be nationalism. Even further on the spectrum would be neo-Nazism.

Biden will end arm sales to the Saudis’ war on Yemen. This will put pressure on a few European countries and Canada to follow suit. That is what being an international leader looks like. The left were convinced they would get the 1990s center-right version of Biden. Yet Biden has been center-left so far. Biden’s presidency sharply contrasts Trump’s.

@chachaloco72 You experienced a rapid increase of oxygen, nitric acid and dmt as well as a rapid decrease in C02 levels. This can create a state similar to a psychedelic trip. Yet a couple differences: you were very likely pushing out on the out-breath. A key component of breathwork is relaxing on the out-breath. Also, having rhythmic circular breathing. As well, you were likely producing the stress hormones adrenaline and cortisol, which generally aren't produced in breathwork. You can access these transcendent states via breathwork if you would like to. For people not experienced in breathwork, physical pain generally triggers the "fight or flight" response. The breathing may be rapid, yet it would be jagged with tension. In terms of pain, there are some traditional tribal cultures that use painful experiences as a rite-of-passage for adolescents. For example, wearing gloves filled with fire biting ants (each bite is like 10 bee stings). This produces hours of pain so bad one faces surrender and enters trippy spaces. Yet I'm not sure how much impact the breathing has. -
Yet in reality, how common are nationalists that genuinely cares about the wellbeing and lifting-up of all the citizens? To me, it seems that people who have a nationalist mindset nearly always have a conservative, provincial view of what counts as "nation". For example, nationalists in the U.S. don't consider all citizens of the U.S. to be "real Americans". To nationalists, "Real Americans" are white Christians and they consider "real" American values, traditional things like celebrating Christmas, Thanksgiving, the military and border walls. They won't see U.S. citizens that have immigrated as "real" Americans. As well, poc might be seen as second class citizens. We could say that this mindset is "unhealthy nationalism", yet then I don't see many "healthy nationalists". People that genuinely care about the wellbeing and lifting-up of all it's citizens don't seem to have strong nationalist views. They are more oriented toward participating within global networks and global humanitarian efforts - such as the Paris Agreement, taking in refugees and giving aid to poor countries.

This reminds me. . . In one of your videos, you talked about how a mind contracted in a small map cannot zoom out to see the large map. Yet a mind that can see the large map can zoom into smaller maps within the large map. Yet it's often not enjoyable and they might not get all the details right. An example would be how Deepak Chopra sees a meta view of how science, energetics, mysticism etc are all inter-connected. Yet when he zooms into just science, sometimes he mis-speaks about scientific details. In the bigger picture, it doesn't really matter, yet at a zoomed in view and pure Orange scientist would be more precise. Would you say the same applies here? That Spira has a meta view and can understand Harris' opinion, yet Spira would probably get some details wrong In contrast, Harris is not able to zoom out and see a meta view. -
Since the Orange stage is self-centered, they often perceive anything social-centered as a threat. For example, Orange libertarians see social initiatives as a threat. I would add in that Purple, Blue and Green are all social-centric stages. They each have their own version of social justice (relative to their social group). A social group in Blue might be a Christian group or nationalist group. They would be sensitive to perceived threats to their social group. For example "The War on Christmas" or "Cancel culture"
-
Perhaps more people developing the meta awareness, so a group identity of human-ness. I often sympathize stronger with one side. Yet sometimes I feel a general heart-ache for for anyone experiencing the pain of injustice, regardless of who is experiencing it.

Are you defining enlightenment as the the absence of certain emotions in a mind-body? And if nonduality is “not two”, how can there be a difference between anger (1) and peaceful (2’)? That would be two separate things. -
Individuals identify within social groups - they have a vested interest in both self and group welfare. The welfare of the group impacts the welfare of the human individual. An athlete has interests for both self and their identified group. If the referee calls a foul on a team player, the entire team gets upset. This can be expanded to anyone that identifies with the team - including coaches , owners and fans. They will all get upset since there was an injustice against their social group. Identifying with social groups and desiring fairness for your social group provides connection and security. Yet the creation of a social group also creates an out-group. And out-groups will have their own interests. Some interests will overlap with other groups, other interests will be unique and some will be in conflict. MAGA, Qanon and Proud Boys have both common interests and unique interests. Yet MAGA and BLM have conflicting social interests. They both want social justice, yet they have very different views on what counts as “social justice”.

Psychedelic insights can be difficult to integrate and embody - especially if someone is just tripping and not doing other spiritual / integration practices. I found it critical to have a variety of spiritual practices. I found it best to have about a 1:4 ratio. For every 1hr of psychedelics trips, I would have about 4hrs of other spiritual practices. As well, I think it's important to go with what is resonating with the mind and body. Someone might resonate with psychedelics for a while and then resonate with another practice for a while - yoga, meditation, breathwork, long distance running etc. -

The journey of personal growth is never-ending - there is unlimited potential for growth. There is no "all the way home" for growth. Yet there are also destinations. It depends on what you mean by "home". It's possible to realize a home and it's possible for seeking energy to dissolve. For me, what comes to mind as Home is Here and Now. Yet that often isn't satisfying to the person. At a human level, we have desires to feel and experience things and repulsions against other things. One can realize much more than they can embody. Imagine getting a good look at a forest. A day later, the mind will only retain a tiny fraction of the details in that forest. -

In a way this video is comical in the sense that the guy on the left doesn't get the joke. It reminds me of an Abbott and Costello's "Who's on First?" skit. Yet it's also painful to watch. They are both contracted and under the impression that their right-ness is universal. So they end up talking past each other and miss many opportunities to connect. -
That seems like a good analogy to me. Some of MAGA go one level lower and say "They had it coming". The problem is that an abuser that faces no accountability will do it again and perhaps worse. So 1980s of you. . . Biden is only "extreme" to those on the extreme right. Socialists on the left think Biden is evil.

It's context dependent. That is not always the case. Tier 2 is a quantum leap in terms of development and maturity. With that comes responsibility. Similar to the responsibility of having a child. A good parent needs to grow up. They can no longer get drunk with the Boyz every night. A mature, developed person doesn't stoop to the level of those less developed. A parent doesn't throw a temper tantrum when his child throws a temper tantrum. A mature, developed person doesn't criticize someone for their own relief and empowerment. A mature, developed person doesn't project their repressed issues onto others. Yes, one can have good intentions and try to change others that don't want to be changed. Yet it's not just about changing others. It is about being that change and a role model. Yes, in some situations direct, stern love can be helpful for others to grow. Yet this is balanced with feminine love. Yin and Yang. In today's age there is a short supply of masculine love. In general, society waaay too far unbalanced toward masculinity of conflict, hyper criticism, antagonism, being right, consumption, productivity, judgement, fighting, debating, intellect, controlling etc. Of course these all have value in some contexts, yet in my view we are way off-balance. In terms of yellow, it's very rare that I see a man at a yellow level that is well-integrated in green. I can only think of one. Most of those at yellow that are green-integrated are women. -
Thread has become hyper-personalized.

To me, seems like an intellectual mindset trying to control the internal narrative. An aspect of expansion is letting go and surrendering - and at times that includes an intellectual mindset. It is an aspect of what many call the Divine Feminine and men in particular have a difficult time expanding into this realm. This is a key aspect of the actuality of Green. The beingness of Green.
