  1. For speakers who need to communicate effectively to people whether for life purpose or just to sound great in personal life (both my case), I wholeheartedly recommend this book. I've been reading it and doing some daily exercises it has for about a month. It has revealed both the flaws and potential of my own voice and the tools to tweak it. I'm writing this after a big breakthrough for me, to the point where I'm actually certain that if I keep going, I'll be able to record and deliver my message in a voice people will want to listen to. Yes, how you sound matters immensely if you're trying to influence people. And you can train it. It's not something we're stuck with. Tip: Make sure you don't base anything upon how you feel or sound to yourself when you speak. Only rely on recordings of yourself. I got stuck in an illusion that I was sounding great for a while but then listening to my recording shattered it (got a little depressed, but then I managed to fix the problem).
  2. It won't let people take advantage of you if you take appropriate action even in that detached state. Appropriate action only matters in this case, not internal state, in my opinion anyway.
  3. I liked what Pluto said. A great alternative source here I went from -3 to -2.5, now working on -2.25. Above source gave me great info to help doing that.
  4. I've been fruit/vegetable juice fasting for 3 - 4 days now. 3 liters is typical for me for 1 day. I've had an experience in my teeth, like they're thickening on the surface and hardening. I held a green juice for a few moments in my mouth one time, but otherwise I just drank normally. You think it's remineralization of the teeth or something else? Anyone here got experience like this? It's kind of interesting.
  5. @Quanty Thanks. I hardly ever claim anything like that these days. My conversation style has become such that I almost always refer to a third party where the info came from, epistemological considerations and me simply following it to get to the point of direct experience (or not), very unknowing like. I sound much more reasonable when I do that, I think. Also, it's closer to being honest. ^^
  6. Similar to what I was going to say. I heard Robert Morse mention in one of his videos regeneration of the adrenals to have a more proper fat storage behavior happen, including the belly area.
  7. Interesting stuff! Hmm ... a Shungite water fast. Must be profound.
  8. @pluto Hehe, Australia sounds super good to me! I get all starry eyed, thinking about sunny beeches and stuff thinking about it. Let's just trade perspectives and be happy where we are.
  9. My original reply got deleted. Anyway, so I can expect 0-70ppm from our tap water. It's formed the same way as that glacial water as far as I know (a more accurate name would be lava rock water lol). I might go with that, if I don't find a cheap enough and easy enough way to distill it. I'm frugal a.t.m. Funny how I take these things for granted, and look with envy towards more southern lands with their local fresh fruits and veggies varieties and night/day length consistency and warmth.
  10. @pluto One question. I've read that reverse osmosis or distilled water is required for water fasts. In Iceland, our tap water is mostly very soft and clean (no added chemicals) and that's what I usually drink. I'm wondering if it's soft enough and how soft the water should be. Is the softness even the only factor here?
  11. @pluto Cool. Thanks again. Makes me think that a fruit juice would be even easier to start with, but that sounds unnecessary.
  12. @pluto By different foods, you mean food groups? Fruits, vegetables etc. or are you thinking about monomeals? Like breaking a fast with only one kind of fruit first.
  13. @pluto Thanks for the info. I've been mostly on raw veggies, fruits and juices now for some time. Feels pretty good. Think I'll be trying a minimum one week water fast next then, cause I'm intrigued.
  14. @InfinitePotential Ah, well that makes sense. I usually drink some water before bed, but not too much. I'm pretty toxic too. Lymph stagnation, poor kideny/adrenals filtering, weak thyroid and what not. Been working on that since finding out about true detox. Makes me wonder, cause I'm focusing on getting good herbal formulas in, how effective water/dry fasting would be in comparison, or if I should first focus on detoxing/strengthening those tissues first via other means.
  15. @InfinitePotential Hehe, yea, wouldn't really have to do anything during dry fast. Doing that, you could interestingly get some idea of the breatharian life. But peeing in middle of the night is a sign of health? Interesting. I do that, but thought it was kind of bothersome.
  16. Very interesting. I'm guessing it'd be smart to try out some proper water fasting before trying something like that.
  17. What language? HTML, CSS and Javascript are standard for the front end. If you will only ever need it to be a blog, you need just that or ready made solutions to get up and going quickly. If you may possibly want to extend it to a larger website, pick what you know well, or if wanting to try something new, I recommend Ruby on Rails. It's exactly what I'm working with now to make a minimalist blog, but I want to extend the project to a full-blown website for my business over time. I'm making my own blog implementation because I've some special needs, but there are many gems that you can install to set a blog up in no time.
  18. I haven't found much about this in my sources, but I've seen cold weather mentioned as being alkaline in contrast to warm weather which is acidic, and that it makes sense to consume a bit more warm and cooked food in cold weather to counter that (more towards the acidic). I'm not really sure how cold weather can be alkaline. Do the elements in cold air have more electrons or something? Also, if it's alkaline, should it give any benefits at all over warmer weather? Otherwise it seems like us living in colder climates are at quite a disadvantage, being driven to eat lower energy food for longer periods of time. This would make warmer climates healthier. But we're stuck here now since our forefathers were adventurous explorers. On the other hand, I've seen mentioned that if our glands were working properly, they would regulate our body heat properly even on a fully raw (plant) diet. Thoughts on this?
  19. Aw man, I just made a great hummus recipe recently with garlic in it. Can't wait to get sick so I can use it medicinally. I think what he says makes sense. I've been moving bit by bit to more of the less stimulating food and having gotten used to those, I can really feel the difference when I eat more stimulating/heavy foods. I'm intrigued about skipping things like garlic and such for a while, and then try them again to see if I feel some difference in the same way.
  20. @Igor82 Haven't tried seaweed chips, but I like dried dulse. It's just that, no other ingredients, and it's naturally salty and nice. I also like dried fruit, especially dates, a bit of nuts, fresh pressed fruit and vegetable juices. Also recently made myself sweet potato fries. If you make them crunchy and spiced enough, they'll blow your mind. I've yet to try making a good sauce to dip them into. Bet that'll blow my mind a second time.
  21. @pluto Yea, I just broke my juice fast now. That's kind of 4.5 days. It was the first one I've done. I certainly need more healing though. My skin is still not clear enough and in my left kidney or above it I feel some pain every now and then (judging it as those as it's likely, thought it was back pain at first, and my iridology reading suggested my kidney could do better). The longest water fast I've done was 3 days, just before the threshold of switching to cleaning mode I believe. That's something to try out again, but I think I should focus on the juice more for now. Think I could use the nutrients. Btw, my teeth didn't feel much different when chewing now, so I guess my teeth thickening feeling might've just been that they feel stronger when handling juice than compared to normal food.
  22. @Michael569 Haven't suffered it so I know of. The added thickness feels more prominent on top of the molars. Best guess is that it has something to do with all the nutrients and/or not having to really use the teeth to chew. There's no problem anyway, it feels more positive.
  23. @pluto Yea. Looks like the vid was taken out of Ramsey's Great Escape series. I was trying to find it on Gordon's channel but couldn't. Would be interesting to see any stark differences in audience opinion.
  24. I've seen fresh juices used for inadequate digestion, then when digestion becomes better, one can transition to whole fruits. I'd find a fruit juice you handle really well, then experiment from there depending on feedback from the body.
