  1. What do you think about David DeAngelo's and David Deida's material? I am finding David De's material wholesome and balanced and RSD a bit too objectifying and rudimentary. Maybe just my preference.
  2. This is something I have noticed as well. Unintended consequences of his style of teaching. In the future, it'd be wise of Leo to find a way to communicate his teachings in a less corruptible and less misinterpretable format. A book could be that, but perhaps less impactful than he delivering truth bombs straight in your face.
  3. Also, Leo's approach is mostly anti-social and undermines the value of healthy relationships and feedback. This attracts loners, and leaves a lot of people vulnerable to making stupid mistakes because they are lost in their mind and cannot distinguish sharply between truth and fiction. He once mentioned that Actualized.org is made by INTPs for INTPs. Introverted Thinking (INTP's dominant function) is constantly separating truth from falsehood. When Leo says that he has a different kind of mind and he enjoy deconstructions - that's part of it. IT DOESN'T WORK FOR EVERYONE. But so many people are blind enough to follow anyone who seems like authority and they waste years of their life and make ridiculous mistakes because they are learning from someone who thinks and communicates in fundamentally different way than they do. Don't do what Leo tells you to do.. Do what he has done. Understand yourself and pick your teachers accordingly. (There is a reason why, it seems that, Leo got a lot from Ralston - who is otherwise very little known.) Leo went out to find the teachers tha align with his approach to this work. That's the key.
  4. @bejapuskas Healing emotional or energetic blockages. These can't be done en masse through a YouTube video. I think Leo is making the best of his gifts. He has grown into mature masculinity, which is rare and easy to misunderstand. And we need more people to adopt mature, integrated masculinity - who take responsibility, create a vision, and lead. He is more integrated than most, and I don't think he's suppressing feminine per se. It seems to me that he either just doesn't have access to the feminine archetype as yet, or consciously chooses to maintain the masculine persona to keep leading Actualized.org. This massive project of his has to be branded and marketed appropriately to have the most impact and to avoid corruption - and he is a smart guy. That said, could Leo facilitate healing better if he was more feminine? Probably. But done prematurely, that could also be a waste of his greatest gifts.
  5. Leo and his teachings are also very biased towards the conceptual/cerebral approach and largely ignores the emotional and physical. In Yoga terms, that would be an overemphasis on Gnana yoga(Contemplation) and ignoring Bhakti yoga (devotion), hatha yoga (Physical grounding), and Kriya Yoga (raising energy and releasing energetic blocks). Part of the reason is the medium. He cannot be teaching healing in an online video. Nothing wrong with that, of course, but this approach doesn't work for everyone. Different paths work for different individuals for different purposes. You have to find what works for you - which Leo emphasizes a lot - but often missed in practice by people who watch his content and see him as an authority. A majority of people watching Leo are susceptible 15-25 years old who haven't even got the basics of their life together.

  7. Awakening Intuition by Frances E. Vaughan https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/72639.Awakening_Intuition Includes techniques to loosen attachments to your own ideas to make space for intuitive insights. Some of my favorite quotes from the book: If you happen to be an Intuitive type by the Jungian personality model, check out Marie-Louise von Franz's Lectures on Jung's Typology as well. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/49537.Lectures_on_Jung_s_Typology

  9. Although the theory discriminates ten values, it postulates that, at a more basic level, values form a continuum of related motivations. This continuum gives rise to the circular structure. To clarify the nature of the continuum, I note the shared motivational emphases of adjacent values: a) power and achievement--social superiority and esteem; b) achievement and hedonism--self-centered satisfaction; c) hedonism and stimulation--a desire for affectively pleasant arousal; d) stimulation and self-direction--intrinsic interest in novelty and mastery; e) self-direction and universalism--reliance upon one's own judgment and comfort with the diversity of existence; f) universalism and benevolence--enhancement of others and transcendence of selfish interests; g) benevolence and tradition--devotion to one's in-group; h) benevolence and conformity--normative behavior that promotes close relationships; i) conformity and tradition--subordination of self in favor of socially imposed expectations; j) tradition and security--preserving existing social arrangements that give certainty to life; k) conformity and security--protection of order and harmony in relations; l) security and power--avoiding or overcoming threats by controlling relationships and resources. In sum, the circular arrangement of the values represents a motivational continuum. The closer any two values in either direction around the circle, the more similar their underlying motivations; the more distant, the more antagonistic their motivations. The idea that values form a motivational continuum has a critical implication: Dividing the domain of value items into ten distinct values is an arbitrary convenience. It is reasonable to partition the value items into more or less fine-tuned distinct values according to the needs and objectives of one’s analysis.4 Conceiving values as organized in a circular motivational structure has an important implication for the relations of values to other variables. It implies that the whole set of ten values relates to any other variable (behavior, attitude, age, etc.) in an integrated manner. 12. @Leo Gura In the past, you have talked about Enlightenment and Life Purpose as contradictory paths - that Enlightenment is an independent variable from success and fulfillment from LP. What is your current take on this? Is pursuing Authentic Life Purpose and God-realization aligned - or align-able? God-realization ("Omniscience") also seems to fit Aurobindo's / Wilber's model (Over-mind, Meta-mind, Supermind)

  14. @Leo Gura Can we have clips of all Guided Meditations / Visualizations / Thought Experiments from different episodes (Love, Infinite Consciousness, Death, Mindfulness, etc.) in a separate playlist on the Actualized Clips channel? A bunch of these might come from the dedicated Guided Exercises videos.

  16. Yes. I realized that it is just fear of change taking different forms. At the same time, I have to remain cognizant that my focus on personality doesn't turn into a limiting box. Instead, I can actually help people go meta on their own patterns and dissolve them. Yes. A lot of content on the way. Thank you.
  17. +1. I found a lot of parallels between Naval's "How to Get Rich" tweetstorm and subsequent podcast and Leo's LP course. Russell Brand would be great too. He has evolved drastically in the past few years. He'll eat your brain.
  18. @Leo Gura Another small suggestion: Can you add the title of the main video along with the link in the description box? This will give some context. One of these:
