I like the simplicity of how this woman creates her cooking videos.

I think the point of reading philosophy is to be able to spot philosophy. I can see a very large interplay of world philosophers almost like a musician sees a group of albums situated in a network of influences. Ignorance of philosophy is where a lot of people get hung up because they don't know what philosophy is. To do Pure Philosophy would imply that the philosophy you do sits outside the artform of philosophy, which is a bold claim, not saying it's wrong either though.

What's interesting is you say there is no purpose, but then you give the purpose of spiritual enlightenment. -
True. And no wonder these men have to work really hard to win love from a woman or feminine type. Men are always looking for a conceptual strategy, especially when they are young and lack a sense of social maturity.

Who do you feel needs to be called out?

This is a good video on how to not BS yourself with self-help.

What are the practices that you feel are important in the sense of doing the practices?

Generally scientists are trained to limit their gaze and zero in to a specific question and find a stable and certain and verifiable empirical answer to that question. In direct contrast, generally philosophers (the great ones) zoom out and try to find the big picture by reacting to more or less to other philosophers who came before like artists being influenced by other artists (although they're reluctant to think about it this way). Scientists generally think identity and personality is irrelevant; whereas, Philosophers generally think their personality and identity is important in their philosophy.

Tense energy and relaxed energy is a thing. We act very differently when we're operating from tense energy versus relaxed energy. Neither one is good or bad per se, but it's something that can be observed in oneself and in others. -

Could it be that both the solipsism video and the infinity of gods videos were creations?

This is a really good pointer to Truth IMO. -
This you said will be interesting to get your reaction to "The thought of the self being entirely dissolved for 20-60 minutes".

I agree a lot with this. No practice per se. Conscious creation, intuition, play, humor, playing music, listening to music, performing (especially within a group of creators), immersion in creation (including intellectual but all artforms including games like chess and conversation), spontaneity, reactivity (and honoring my reactivity), improvisation, channeling insights. I'm less concerned with insisting on flow, but I'll take it and when I'm on a roll with creating I'll notice that. -
Woah they interviewed Jim Newman. I can't get enough of his infectious laugh.
-
I actually enjoyed both the interviewers and didn't see anything wrong per se in any of their actions. People are going to differ, and they did so respectfully.

Not saying this happens here, but I've seen it happen -- "No self, no bad, no wrong, no problem" being used to behave however you want with someone and then when that person complains, saying this to them in response.

I would say the attempt to break things down into parts and specialties is what kind of ruins philosophy. The great philosophers for the most part are individuals, not groups of specialists hacking away collectively at specialized fields.
