This is one reason why I choose to be alone most of the time. It's because I can sense the manipulative energy in people. I hate overhearing someone getting backstabbed. It's like a car-crash too, everybody was to grab a peek of it. It's a very cheap way to get attention from others. When you talk shit about someone or something, the spotlight is on you -- you're the star for the moment. A lot of people do this with politics too. They're always turning things political to try to get attention and the spotlight. They want to feel right and smart and worthy. Really, they just look like judgmental pricks.

Language and the Mind are a lot more slippery than you have assumed. (Leo) We take words as givens. As like -- this is just how life is. (Leo) When you start to see that we're just playing word-games, that's a huge insight. We're just adding some sounds to reality like birds chirping in the forest -- while reality looks lazily on. (The second sentence is my insight ("birds chirping")) The Mind tricks itself by assuming that it knows words when it doesn't. Look up words and become mindful of how words are used, even the most basic of words. (Leo) The Mind is murky about many essential concepts. This is why investigation of words will give you more clarity of what both words and concepts actually are. Practice mindfulness of this. (Leo) Help me extend more insights by contributing more about words, language, meaning, etc.

Music can be a conduit for higher-consciousness. It can disrupt culture and allow you to get up underneath culture. Music can also calm and relax the Mind, which changes how the Mind judges and controls. You dissolved the Ego for a little bit by changing your context with the music.

Low-consciousness is gonna prevail over higher-consciousness because the Ego feeds off existing culture. Higher-consciousness requires arms-lengthing culture. That is much harder to do. It requires courage and guidance.

Yes. Karma is simple. It means that low-consciousness actions are like spitting into the wind, they come back on you. So, when you act from the Ego, you get suffering back from that. Basically, if you act unauthentically -- the Mind has to by necessity be at war with itself.

How are you going to deal with your self-esteem issue?

You can think of Enlightenment as Awareness. It is a seeing of the landscape.

I'm not really a fan of the word "infinite". I know Leo likes it though.

You could benefit from doing some shadow work I think. You got a lot of stuff rattling around in your subconscious mind that needs to be worked with.

Congratulations! Yep — Enlightenment is very practical. It’s not just a bunch of fancy things to say. You should be feeling things change. That’s true progress. I’m happy for you.

This is not intended to be an empty philosophical question. This is a very practical question. We don't really know what the hell we're doing with words. I want to start a discussion: but people have to engage and face this issue head on, not lazily hand-wave it away. We've gotta do the contemplation work! I'm inviting folks to join into a discussion on these issues. If you don't want to contemplate these issues, don't dissuade others from doing so. What the Mind thinks the question What is reality? is asking and what is actually obtained is apples and oranges. There's a disconnect there that the Mind is concealing! That should register as a big deal to you.

The Ego can only be as good as the low-consciousness awareness that allowed the ideas and habits to accumulate the way they did that the Mind clings to: The scripts and patterns that you've been programmed to run or expect. Awareness is what dissolves the Ego over time if one is properly walking the path of Enlightenment. The Guru guides the tenderfoot through the forest. Watch this video:

Yep. If you wanna nip this issue in the bud, do Leo's Life Purpose Course. I'm doing it myself right now, and this is what that course deals with. You gotta go through the Life Purpose process, which is a lengthy and deep process. The Mind doesn't think Life Purpose is needed. I've requested that Leo do a video on that issue. The Mind will tell you that Life Purpose work is frivolous work. That's a trap. Life Purpose work is as important as Enlightenment work.

I see it. All of the dualities are partial and illusory. He's messing with space and time too. Neither are to any kind of scale. Notice the small houses and the size of tree in the foreground. Yes. Just start to get into the flow of your job. Become one with what you are doing. What is causing you a lot of suffering is the Ego wants to think of itself as separate from what is happening in reality. When it does that, it wants to judge harshly. Just realize that the best way to attack this effect is to get yourself into flow states where reality has coalesced in on itself.

It would be cool if the questions that you answer highlight or in some other way indicate that you have answered them. That way when you look at the screen at a glance you can see which questions you have and have not answered. I find that I am growing a lot by "answering" questions on the Forum now, and I want to make that process as efficient as possible.
