  1. It depends on whether it's an authentic value of yours and where it stands in relation to your other authentic values.
  2. Here's a model to use to clarify, if this is what you mean: Psychological liberalism refers to a readiness to challenge authority, convention, and traditional values. In its most extreme form, psychological liberalism can even represent outright hostility toward rules, sympathy for law-breakers, and love of ambiguity, chaos, and disorder. Psychological conservatives prefer the security and stability brought by conformity to tradition. Psychological liberalism and conservatism are not identical to political affiliation, but certainly incline individuals toward certain political parties. I got this language from that free Big 5 Personality Test.
  3. Just work on raising your awareness and reality will clean itself up for you over time.
  4. The more awake I become the happier I become. That's what is motivating me to do this work is I keep getting happier and happier. Not joking! I was thinking about this the other day -- increasing happiness is the best source of motivation. Even when you act badly, that's because the Mind thinks it's pursuing happiness, but it's internally conflicted and confused. When you build awareness, you can train the Mind to get aligned with the right kind of happiness. You gotta show the Mind what the Good is. It's been improperly trained by culture! Video to watch:
  5. When you start to trip, try to steer your thoughts to some subject, like Life Purpose.
  6. It takes a lifetime to develop a good bullshit detector.
  7. This happened to me too. You will go through a period like this where you lose all your interests. They will come back to you though in a few weeks. Be patient -- your passions are not going to be gone forever.
  8. I have a love-hate relationship with someone else's take on Enlightenment. It can be misleading as well as inspiring to me.
  9. One video that is conspicuously missing from the video arsenal is one on shadow work.
  10. I would be the guy whose career is to help people improve their lives while improving his own too, getting happier and happier and happier as a result.
  11. You might have a lot of baggage that is bouncing around in the subconscious mind. What meditation and psychedelics do, in part, is to open your mind so that that baggage either gets purged or dealt with. So, it’s a good thing that you got demons bubbling up. You got a lot of stuff in there that needs dealing with. You’re on the right track — keep meditating like you are.
  12. You sound like a good candidate for Leo’s Life Purpose Course. Buy that, and it will work you through all these issues. You gotta find your deepest passion.
  13. Take advantage of how clear your grip on life is right now. It’s in moments like these that you can have a lot of insights and epiphanies about life.
  14. Yes. As long as you are ok with it, that’s all that matters. I am always doing something, so hanging out with people always basically distracts me. I like people mostly, and I give them a lot of room to make mistakes — but I’m just always working on something or thinking about something. I’m very rarely just shooting the shit with someone, although there are times in the day where I do that too. But it’s minimized. I used to think this isolation was an insecurity based on inferiority — and maybe it started out that way — but now it’s mostly just I have a very rich, inner life.
  15. Yeah. Business thrives on communication. The Internet allows people to market themselves and their products and services. People also like speed, which the communication technology is providing. Amazon is trying to revamp their entire logistics system to satisfy people’s desire for speed — the mentality of I want it when I want it, and I want it now. The Internet is a digital marketplace. Like the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul, the Internet is a place for merchants and vendors to trade their wares and services.
  16. You know what the answer is here — do Leo’s Life Purpose Course and find out the details of your deepest passion. Then you can see the lay of the land as to your options of whether you wanna ultimately work at a company or start one yourself.
  17. I’ve had people tell me that I’m too happy all the time. I’m wondering why people pretend to be miserable — or maybe they are miserable.
  18. I thought a little bit about this. One thing I thought of is — the a guru is all about providing a tool to someone for them to help themselves out. The Spiritual Ego, on the other hand, wants to have disciples.
  19. I’m with ya. I’ll do it too. I’ve always wanted to do this exercise. Just so folks know what we are talking about: We’re talking about the exercise in this video, which you should definitely watch too:
  20. The human condition is discovering the Authentic-Self, understanding the Mind, and figuring out how to use the Mind in healthy ways.
  21. The biggest thing for a human being to grasp is we don’t understand the Mind very well, and we don’t know how to use the Mind very well. (This Idea was influenced by something @ajasatya recently told me to give credit where credit is due.)
