This is a really good pointer to Truth IMO. -
This you said will be interesting to get your reaction to "The thought of the self being entirely dissolved for 20-60 minutes".

I agree a lot with this. No practice per se. Conscious creation, intuition, play, humor, playing music, listening to music, performing (especially within a group of creators), immersion in creation (including intellectual but all artforms including games like chess and conversation), spontaneity, reactivity (and honoring my reactivity), improvisation, channeling insights. I'm less concerned with insisting on flow, but I'll take it and when I'm on a roll with creating I'll notice that. -
Woah they interviewed Jim Newman.
-
I actually enjoyed both the interviewers and didn't see anything wrong per se in any of their actions. People are going to differ, and they did so respectfully.

Not saying this happens here, but I've seen it happen -- "No self, no bad, no wrong, no problem" being used to behave however you want with someone and then when that person complains, saying this to them in response.

I would say the attempt to break things down into parts and specialties is what kind of ruins philosophy. The great philosophers for the most part are individuals, not groups of specialists hacking away collectively at specialized fields.

@Yimpa Exactly. -

First we need to understand what spiritual enlightenment is, but I appreciate the attempt to explain it simply and straightforwardly. -

The highest form of humor is to laugh together. This is rare though but possible.
-
This is a good example of when you make a joke you open yourself up to criticism. You gotta be careful with how you use humor for this reason. Especially if you have a reputation for being a do-gooder type.

Truth → no need to prove; Love → softening; Beauty → shared humanity; Wisdom → right relation. -
I've seen no separate self be weaponized. All of this can be weaponized.

It's interesting. I have the opposite take on spiritual dynamics. I see it applying most accurately to individuals and more leerily to groups. I've seen others come down on this issue and have the same opinion as you. I think @Emerald shared the kind of view you have previously as I recall.

I think the relative or Absolute idea is definitely accessible in direct experience. But it depends on how this duality is clung to in a groupthink way or even in yourself. I know a lot of people try to say there is no strict duality here because the relative is unreal or an illusion -- I get that line, but I don't think it works.

Do you feel like you need to conceive of yourself a certain way first before you create? That's what I would question. -
I'm concerned about the relative and the Absolute being seen as a strict duality. This is very common in spirituality, so it's not a criticism. It's expected.

Yeah. That's all I know how to do at this point pretty much. HTML and CSS and a touch of JavaScript. This is a cool video. So many options in web dev right now.

Boxing people into rigid labels like scientists, etc. But do as you will.

Thanks! I'm an INFJ. This is what I secretly think too lol. Just kidding, sort of.
