  1. The right wing didn’t only rise in the US. Obviosly this is not a comprehensive list, but here is an interesting timeline: 2012 - Viktor Orbán of Hungary gets 2/3 majority in the parlament that he never let go still going in 2025. He is critiqued in the Eu for eroding democratic institutions and good friends with Trump. 2014 - Annexation of Crimea, which im mentioning because its foreshadowing of the international political environment to say the least 2016 - Trump first term 2018 - Brexit 2020 - Covid brings about even more chaos and instability which will always result in reinforcement of nationality in politics. After that, the right wing visibly got a foothold everywhere in the west. For example in 2021 - first major political breakthrough of Javier Milei of Argentina. I remember clearly this was very loud in mainstream media 2022 Meloni of Italy 2023 Russia - Ukraine war begins. At this point it would be harder to mention countries in the EU that didn’t see the rise of right wing political power and as i said this is far from a comprehensive list, there are many themes i didnt mention here like: midwest, immigration, backlash against globalization etc.
  2. It felt good to read about the protests in Tel Aviv, wether its going to change things or not. We need to stand up for human values.
  3. For me it sounds like your problem is not primarily with anger, but a resentment towards your brother. Could be coming from bad childhood experiences for example. Could be worth investigating. Ask yourself if you would get that angry or triggered over a dispute about dishes with a different person?
  4. I listened to Theo Von's podcast with Mark Zuckerberg a few months ago now i think. He seemed to genuinly believe that what he is doing with social media is a net positive - i think he even denied that there are any negative consequences of what he is doing. I know the outcome is to an extent is the same, but i like ignorant people more than someone who wont see something on purpose. He seemed like a genuinely cool and intelligent guy, its just that his whole being revolves around technology ignoring everything else. Same with Jeff Bezos, my impression of him was not at all that he is this evil greedy person, he is just ignorant. Regarding AGI, i always forget what people mean by that. "...sometimes called human‑level intelligence AI—is a type of artificial intelligence that would match or surpass human capabilities across virtually all cognitive tasks." - Wikipedia That could be true that some AI has already surpassed human capabilities in performing cognitive tasks, but for me becoming intelligent means something else. When i hear AI is going to be intelligent im thinking about AI becoming a " living being ". And they are far away from that in my understanding.
  5. It doen’t seem like debating here is going to be fruitful, all im going to say is that i disagree, if there is place for that in your topic.
  6. Solipsims is a mindfuck dude. And a big one. Leo explains solipsism exactly as what you are describing as Direct Reality. There are no other beings in your experience, only you. That IS experience and not thought. If i had to try my best to articulate the mind fuck is that there is not only that other beings do not exist, but you don't exist either. Its the Godhead that experiences solipsism if that makes sense... There is nothing else just the Godhead, which is exactly what you are saying as well. As someone wrote here on the forum recently, there are many paths that lead up to the mountain. They said its a Hindi proverb, but i think i heard it ffrom the Kung Fu Panda
  7. Just to be clear, outgrowing a human concept (morality in this case), doesn't necessarily mean that the opposite of the concept is aligned with God. There are plenty of people who deconstructed morality before and they aren't becoming serial killers. Thats because beyond morality there is Love. There is an important point to make there but im getting tired now and phrasing english sentences are getting hard. I think Leo actually made a video about morality, check that one out. Anyhow, you are talking about something waaay out of reach from the ordinary human consciousness.
  8. Thats a crazy train of thoughts to follow my man, maybe you could formulate that a bit better in order to start a conversation out of it. I can see how for way more Godlike creatures killing would not be a moral problem, but to imagine humans getting there is crazy sci-fi category. Those entities came to my mind though that you would see on some psychedelics, like machine elves described by McKenna. Let me look up a video for you.
  9. @sholomar I disagree. You dont have to change human nature to do this, you just have to change a specific human behavior. And we change all the time, i mean if we didn't we would still be living "in caves", no ? And the potential benefits here are HUGE. I mean the article talks about cutting travel time in HALF. Thats an unbelievable amount of time and money saved. Not just for the individual, but the government too. The government would be dumb not to promote stuff like this.
  10. Can we appreciate for a moment how brilliant Dr. K. is! This guy possesses Leo's level of explanational abilities, but Leo never talks about this stuff. Actually they complement each other very well.
  11. I would also confirm that your angle is not backwards: psychedelics can heal and guide you. Accessing and feeling into the emotion is exactly how im going about it too. But i dont actively try to release it, im just staying with it and the realease has to come by itself. You can have mystical experiences too despite unresolved issues, but in my experience you dont actively seek them, you just do inquiry and meditation. What happened to me once is that i took LSD and the mystical experience came the next morning after i woke up. (Well beyond the 12 hours of ingestion.) I hope it was useful that i pointed this out for you, or maybe you just didn't phrase it that way, in that case i think you are already doing a great job. At times when it gets hard it may be good to remember that you are not the only one dealing with issues like yours and we can have each others backs. I wish you the best Edit: I would also do actively release thoughts and emotions that would come up in meditation. Letting go of them as Eckhart Tolle would phrase it. Maybe thats what you meant as well.
  12. Unfortunately i fell asleep quite early listening to it yesterday, but im gonna give it a go again tonight. I can recommend listening to it anyway - the host is intelligent and open-minded and i heard Dr. Tara Swart before on another podcast and she made a good impression. If you guys listen to it too i think this could be a good conversation topic.
  13. Putting ideas into words can be very beneficial for non-verbal thinkers Gold mine for resources I would say there isn't a better place for meeting intelligent people online than this forum. (anecdotal)
  14. @OBEler It was just unresolved trauma. I do realize by trying to not overshare i might have sounded like i saw demons or something. Thats not what i meant, sorry.
  15. That is actually the responsible attitude to do psychedelics. Like people said before me you have to respect the psychedelics, but i would also add that other circumstances could matter too. Taking drugs in a bad mindset for example or in a bad environment can lead to bad trips and bad trips can cause more harm than good. Me personally i have not taken psychedelics in more than a year now. For me what happened was, i got confronted with something im not ready to face again on psychedelics yet. I think i have to resolve it without psychedelics before going back again. But maybe im just a coward. I got scared shitless im not gonna lie.
  16. This is genius! And of course Toyota picks up the idea first. Best car manufacturing company imo.
  17. I have been waiting for that one. I did quite a bit of contemplation on the model. I reflected on values, the question of universal values and how does it all fit in a big picture. I also like to think about how such a concept can be transferred into something useful beyond understanding just for the sake of understanding (which is still my primary objective btw). Thank you for this one, i know i wont be able to resist watching it even though im super busy at the moment!
  18. Actualized.org chess tournament would be *FIRE*. I would participate but realistically im only going to have time for such things in march first.
  19. @Leo Gura Can we expect post-modenism part 2 as one of the next ones?
  20. When I first heard Trump wants to buy Greenland, I was genuinely surprised he even knew Greenland existed. Lol
  21. Well, i just read this. [Late on Friday, after at least two people were killed and scores wounded in a suspected terror attack on a Christmas market in the German city of Magdeburg, Musk doubled down, tweeting: “Scholz should resign immediately. Incompetent fool.”] Oh the irony! How backwards you have to be to be this powerful public figure and act so pitifully. In a public conference after the first tweet and before the attack and the second tweet Sholz adressed Musk: [At a press conference in Berlin, Scholz responded indirectly to the post, saying: “We have freedom of speech here. That also applies to multimillionaires. Freedom of speech also means that you’re able to say things that aren’t right and do not contain good political advice.”] Now thats how a politician should act. Like an actual grown up. Musk is like a teenage girl. The fact that people even listen to him is absurd.
  22. Outrage as Elon Musk claims ‘only AfD can save Germany’ - The Guardian [...Musk, who has been named by Donald Trump to co-lead a commission aimed at reducing the size of the US federal government, wrote on his social media platform X: “Only the AfD can save Germany.” He reposted a video by a German rightwing influencer, Naomi Seibt, who criticised Friedrich Merz, the leader of the conservative Christian Democrats who has the best chance of becoming the next German chancellor, and praised Javier Milei, the libertarian president of Argentina. ...] Bahahah this guy has lost the remainder of his last screws for sure. Just imagine if he did his job in his expertise like he does his politics. Tesla would have never been born. And i dont mean to ridicule the actual conversation about any policies, because then i would not be any better either. But this guy talking about politics is like Hulk Hogan promoting a presidential candidate... oh wait you guys had that too. BWAAHAHHA (Sorry i never got the chance to laugh about that yet.)
  23. Driving into a crowd is our equivalent of school shootings over here i feel like. I heard about multiple instances in the last years. I dont remember any of them being connected to religious issues before, but i could easily be wrong about that. Elon Musk did not tweet in reaction of this attack, the attack happened afterwards.
  24. Yes, he represents total corruption now, which is sad because as i remember like 10-15 years ago he used to be the coolest cat around.
  25. ChatGPT said my exact location (city) in a conversation i had with him today. I never mentioned it and the memory is turned off. When confronted it said: " It was an error, likely a mistaken inclusion in my response, potentially resulting from mixing examples or patterns I've seen in other contexts" But he literally wrote before: "Given your location in [city], salaries may vary based on regional demand and cost of living." I can copy the whole conversation if anyone is interested it is pretty wild to me.
