  1. I would also confirm that your angle is not backwards: psychedelics can heal and guide you. Accessing and feeling into the emotion is exactly how im going about it too. But i dont actively try to release it, im just staying with it and the realease has to come by itself. You can have mystical experiences too despite unresolved issues, but in my experience you dont actively seek them, you just do inquiry and meditation. What happened to me once is that i took LSD and the mystical experience came the next morning after i woke up. (Well beyond the 12 hours of ingestion.) I hope it was useful that i pointed this out for you, or maybe you just didn't phrase it that way, in that case i think you are already doing a great job. At times when it gets hard it may be good to remember that you are not the only one dealing with issues like yours and we can have each others backs. I wish you the best Edit: I would also do actively release thoughts and emotions that would come up in meditation. Letting go of them as Eckhart Tolle would phrase it. Maybe thats what you meant as well.
  2. Unfortunately i fell asleep quite early listening to it yesterday, but im gonna give it a go again tonight. I can recommend listening to it anyway - the host is intelligent and open-minded and i heard Dr. Tara Swart before on another podcast and she made a good impression. If you guys listen to it too i think this could be a good conversation topic.
  3. Putting ideas into words can be very beneficial for non-verbal thinkers Gold mine for resources I would say there isn't a better place for meeting intelligent people online than this forum. (anecdotal)
  4. @OBEler It was just unresolved trauma. I do realize by trying to not overshare i might have sounded like i saw demons or something. Thats not what i meant, sorry.
  5. That is actually the responsible attitude to do psychedelics. Like people said before me you have to respect the psychedelics, but i would also add that other circumstances could matter too. Taking drugs in a bad mindset for example or in a bad environment can lead to bad trips and bad trips can cause more harm than good. Me personally i have not taken psychedelics in more than a year now. For me what happened was, i got confronted with something im not ready to face again on psychedelics yet. I think i have to resolve it without psychedelics before going back again. But maybe im just a coward. I got scared shitless im not gonna lie.
  6. This is genius! And of course Toyota picks up the idea first. Best car manufacturing company imo.
  7. I have been waiting for that one. I did quite a bit of contemplation on the model. I reflected on values, the question of universal values and how does it all fit in a big picture. I also like to think about how such a concept can be transferred into something useful beyond understanding just for the sake of understanding (which is still my primary objective btw). Thank you for this one, i know i wont be able to resist watching it even though im super busy at the moment!
  8. Actualized.org chess tournament would be *FIRE*. I would participate but realistically im only going to have time for such things in march first.
  9. @Leo Gura Can we expect post-modenism part 2 as one of the next ones?
  10. When I first heard Trump wants to buy Greenland, I was genuinely surprised he even knew Greenland existed. Lol
  11. Well, i just read this. [Late on Friday, after at least two people were killed and scores wounded in a suspected terror attack on a Christmas market in the German city of Magdeburg, Musk doubled down, tweeting: “Scholz should resign immediately. Incompetent fool.”] Oh the irony! How backwards you have to be to be this powerful public figure and act so pitifully. In a public conference after the first tweet and before the attack and the second tweet Sholz adressed Musk: [At a press conference in Berlin, Scholz responded indirectly to the post, saying: “We have freedom of speech here. That also applies to multimillionaires. Freedom of speech also means that you’re able to say things that aren’t right and do not contain good political advice.”] Now thats how a politician should act. Like an actual grown up. Musk is like a teenage girl. The fact that people even listen to him is absurd.
  12. Outrage as Elon Musk claims ‘only AfD can save Germany’ - The Guardian [...Musk, who has been named by Donald Trump to co-lead a commission aimed at reducing the size of the US federal government, wrote on his social media platform X: “Only the AfD can save Germany.” He reposted a video by a German rightwing influencer, Naomi Seibt, who criticised Friedrich Merz, the leader of the conservative Christian Democrats who has the best chance of becoming the next German chancellor, and praised Javier Milei, the libertarian president of Argentina. ...] Bahahah this guy has lost the remainder of his last screws for sure. Just imagine if he did his job in his expertise like he does his politics. Tesla would have never been born. And i dont mean to ridicule the actual conversation about any policies, because then i would not be any better either. But this guy talking about politics is like Hulk Hogan promoting a presidential candidate... oh wait you guys had that too. BWAAHAHHA (Sorry i never got the chance to laugh about that yet.)
  13. Driving into a crowd is our equivalent of school shootings over here i feel like. I heard about multiple instances in the last years. I dont remember any of them being connected to religious issues before, but i could easily be wrong about that. Elon Musk did not tweet in reaction of this attack, the attack happened afterwards.
  14. Yes, he represents total corruption now, which is sad because as i remember like 10-15 years ago he used to be the coolest cat around.
  15. ChatGPT said my exact location (city) in a conversation i had with him today. I never mentioned it and the memory is turned off. When confronted it said: " It was an error, likely a mistaken inclusion in my response, potentially resulting from mixing examples or patterns I've seen in other contexts" But he literally wrote before: "Given your location in [city], salaries may vary based on regional demand and cost of living." I can copy the whole conversation if anyone is interested it is pretty wild to me.
  16. Yes and the way he does it is so pitiful its hilarious to me.
  17. @Leo Gura hey Leo, I tried to create a new topic, but shortly after I finished it, literally in seconds it said "we could not find the topic anymore" or something like that. This happened 2 times in a row, within a few minutes. This might be a bug? Also I meant to post this for a while now, but never got to it because I need to write it out first and I also probably want to edit it before it goes public. I'm not sure if this is possible here? What I was trying to do was create the topic and then immediately hide it until I'm done editing it.
  18. @Human Mint hey there, Thank you for the tips! I bought the book on audible, going to listen to it when I get to it. (Im extremely busy now). Is there an answer to why the fuck do I regularly wake up at ungodly times like 4 am? Lol
  19. Do you have a good method to fall asleep quickly that we might not know about?
  20. Maybe it's time for you to get some fresh air buddy.
  21. Simply put, whatever buddy.
  22. I met a person who actually understands that there is transcendental knowledge - as opposed to scientific method which is about dissecting reality to make distinctions. He also understands the difference between map and territory. These people exist and they are out there. This particular person also has 3 doctor titles. He is a fucking menace.
  23. https://www.aston.ac.uk/latest-news/aston-university-researchers-send-data-45-million-times-faster-average-broadband Fastest speed ever sent via specific wavelength bands which are not yet used in fibre optic systems Expected this discovery will contribute to meeting massive data demand of the future Technique uses existing network but increases its capacity to carry data. Aston University researchers have sent data at a speed that is 4.5 million times faster than the average home broadband. The rate is the fastest ever sent by opening up specific new wavelength bands that are not yet used in fibre optic systems. As part of an international collaboration, the academics transferred data at a rate of 301 terabits or 301,000,000 megabits per second, using a single, standard optical fibre. That’s compared to Ofcom’s UK home broadband performance report published in September 2023 which stated that the average broadband speed is just 69.4 Mbit/s megabits per second. Professor Wladek Forysiak from Aston Institute of Photonic Technologies and Dr Ian Phillips were part of the team that successfully transmitted the data. They worked in collaboration with researchers from National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) in Japan and Nokia Bell Labs in the USA. As the demand for more data increases, it is expected the newly developed technology will help keep up with future demand. The scientists used optical fibres, small tubular strands of glass that pass information using light. Regular copper cables can’t carry data at such speeds. The feat was achieved by opening up new wavelength bands that are not yet used in fibre optic systems. Different wavelength bands are equivalent to different colours of light being transmitted down the optical fibre. They did this by developing new devices called optical amplifiers and optical gain equalizers to access them. Dr Phillips led the development of a management device, or optical processor, at Aston University. He said “Broadly speaking, data was sent via an optical fibre like a home or office internet connection. “However, alongside the commercially available C and L-bands, we used two additional spectral bands called E-band and S-band. Such bands traditionally haven’t been required because the C- and L-bands could deliver the required capacity to meet consumer needs. “Over the last few years Aston University has been developing optical amplifiers that operate in the E-band, which sits adjacent to the C-band in the electromagnetic spectrum but is about three times wider. Before the development of our device, no one had been able to properly emulate the E-band channels in a controlled way.” Professor Forysiak added: “By increasing transmission capacity in the backbone network, our experiment could lead to vastly improved connections for end users. “This groundbreaking accomplishment highlights the crucial role of advancing optical fibre technology in revolutionising communication networks for faster and more reliable data transmission. “Growing system capacity by using more of the available spectrum - not just the conventional C-band but also other bands such as the L, S and now E-bands can help to keep the cost of providing this bandwidth down. “It is also a ‘greener solution’ than deploying more, newer fibres and cables since it makes greater use of the existing deployed fibre network, increasing its capacity to carry data and prolonging its useful life & commercial value. “ The results of the experiment were published this month by the Institute of Engineering and Technology, the IET, and were presented as a post-deadline paper at the European Conference on Optical Communication (ECOC) held in Glasgow, October 2023.
  24. I had a shroom trip many years ago, where I felt everything that has ever happened, happened FOR me. I guess today I would call it a solipsist experience, but it was accompanied by a feeling of love I can only compare to what i experienced on ecstasy before. I think I integrated it pretty nicely since then, with Leo's teachings for example and in some further trips, but that feeling I had then never occurred in that intensity again. (It was a heroic dose and I have not done that much ever since, so it just makes sense.) Sometimes it is baffling to see how close minded people are and I think it's because they never had even a glimpse of this Love.
  25. @bambi I think a lot of this comes down to the fact that we are basically communicating in a few sentences each comment. You can only convey an eeny tiny bit of truth in each comment. It isnt common to come to a forum and leave well thought out 100 pages long answers and even if you did not a lot of people are going to read it. Its the style of communication thats a limiting factor here. And then of course we choose to talk about the most advanced, philosophycal, abstract etc. themes in this style, so what do you expect at this point beyond confusion ? LOL
