  1. @John Iverson Nature is calling to us. It’s home. The birds, the rain, the trees, rivers, etc... are speaking to us, calling us to come home. It’s so subtle but if you ever listen to the sounds of the rainforest closely you’ll see that nature is calling to us. ? Another thing, you know how they say the eyes are the window to the soul? That doesn’t mean they show you an indivual’s soul. They show you the one and only soul which is your True Self. If you look into another’s eyes deep and long enough, you’ll see yourself looking right back at you.
  2. Yeah finish the course with what you have and continue to look inward as you finish it. You’re pretty much at the end anyways he doesn’t have many more exercises. You have to keep putting one foot in front of the other. Your life purpose may not make perfect sense right now, it will take time to marinate, but as long as you’re continuing to do whatever you can to find it eventually you will.
  3. @Socrates I’ve had a similar issue. There’s so much logic in Leo’s course I think it’s confusing because we can lose touch of our sense of feeling, which is what drives our whole purpose. Overthinking it was my problem and what seems to help is to simplify and focus on your emotions. 1. Finish the course. You have to keep moving forward. Put one foot in front of the other and the path will appear. 2. Listen to your emotions. Forget about all the fucking concepts in the course, you can come back to those later. You need to simplify and ask yourself, “What do I love doing?” pay attention to the answers that get you excited. It’s the passion, enthusiasm, and excitement that you want to follow, not the logic.
  4. @LiakosN Tony Robbins healed a guy of his stuttering once. It’s all in your head. Read “Breaking the habit of being yourself” by dr Joe Dispenza
  5. Mine is Daddy. The zen monks refer to Daddy as the pimp of all pimps.
  6. How can you say there wasn’t any growth? He could’ve been burning away his ego slowly but surely all those years just like we do with self inquiry until his ego was only holding on my the tips of its fingers and all it needed was one more straw to break the camels back.
  7. Look at Eckhart Tolle though. His suffering was mainly mental as he had depression most of his life and it lead to his enlightenment. Okay but when the trauma from something like social anxiety leads to more social anxiety and more suffering, how can we say that, that suffering isn’t helping us grow? Eckhart Tolle is a perfect example of this. Things only seemed to get worse for him throughout his life and now look at him. Does change really mean growth though? You can win the lottery and go from a trailer park to a mansion, which is a big change but that doesn’t mean you grow. I think what really brings growth is leaning into the pain which is exactly what our ego doesn’t want to do. For this again I point to Eckhart Tolle. His situation seems to be the opposite of what you’re saying. He resisted his suffering so much that it lead to him “not being able to live with himself anymore”. And again, now he’s enlightened.
  8. @Shakazulu anything is possible. YOU CAN FLYYYYYY!
  9. @electroBeam I’d say to first admit you’re wrong and then see what happens in the relationship. If they’re still super angry then that’s toxic and you shouldn’t be around them. My top value is integrity, you’d be surprised how much weight is lifted off your shoulders when you’re honest with yourself and others. By expressing your truth, you let go. It’s amazing give it a shot.
  10. @WildeChilde the golden rule. Treat others how you’d want to be treated.
  11. @ExodiaGearCEO your Why is the reason you’re doing it. The intention you have. Are you doing it for the money? Are you passionate about it? Why are you doing it? Haha Leo’s life purpose course is good for finding your Why.
  12. @Jedd i thought it’d be cool to keep a journal for my kids and grandkids to look at someday as they’re growing up. They can see what I was going through at their age and maybe it would help them.
  13. I’ve read a few books from Leo’s life purpose course. Mastery, The One Thing, And right now I’m reading The Big Leap. Gary Keller’s book The One Thing is actually what started this whole life purpose journey for me. It made me realize that the career I was currently in at the time wasn't gonna cut it and that I needed to find my one thing in life where I could focus all of my passion. I’d really love to hear from you guys about the best book you’ve read that helped you discover your life purpose.
  14. @Vipassana go where your mind doesn’t want to go.
  15. Do any of you have experience in developing a commanding presence? The kind of presence where you walk into a room and everyone looks. Some call it executive presence or leadership presence. I know David Deida refers to it as masculine presence. Are there any specific exercises to practice this and develop it?
  16. @John Iverson I heard the book “how to win friends and influence people” is good for stuff like this. The more you practice socializing the better you’ll get too. Something I do that really helps me to connect with people is laugh and smile a lot. People love to be around other happy people so if you come off that way they’ll like you.
  17. @John Iverson Gary Keller and Jay Papasan
  18. I’d love to hear from you guys on this. What’s your domain of mastery and why did you choose that one?
  19. @Shakazulu Yes of course. If you were connected to your deepest desire and you had an abundance of women you’d be perceived as higher value than if you didn’t have abundance. Both of these things, as well as many others, can add to how others perceive your value as a man. Be careful not to do something just because it makes you more valuable to women though. That’s inauthentic and although it may work to attract women, you’d be selling your soul and it will rot you from the inside out.
  20. McDonald’s because they make some damn good burgers.
  21. @Max_V I think it’s important to follow the concepts in the course as best as you can but if by the end of it, you feel deep down that you need to do something competitive, then go for it. It’ll morph and change into something new anyways but what I feel is most important is following your heart.
