  1. @Roy I ask because sometimes they might think you're just trying to be friends with them if you ask them out for drinks without first showing sexual intent in conversation. And if that's the case they'll most likely deny the request because they probably aren't looking for guy best friends. The question here basically is how would they know what you want if you don't tell them it's a date. But I guess it's up to you as the guy to show intent and build attraction within' the conversation, leading up to the "We should grab drinks sometime."
  2. Just recently I've started to realize that I may have a personality disorder. I've always found myself to be this individual who is detached, withdrawn, indifferent in most social situations, but I never thought of it as a possible personality disorder. I've always thought of this sort of behavior to be part of my introverted nature, or I would maybe even justify it and believe that this behavior is common in those who are "Yellow" on the Spiral. Maybe it is or maybe it's not. I've always been a quiet loner in elementary and high school growing up. This might've been the beginning of how I developed this possible disorder. I've still had a handful of friends, and made many friends after highschool, but in several workplaces I've always found myself to be a bit cold around others. I also got into pickup, which might've contributed to my detached personality. I still could function quite normally in life and make friends but some people most likely see me as a bit standoffish. In fact I've been called "cold" just recently by another co-worker. I still express my emotions and still desire intimate relationships, which is why I'd say I only have a mild-moderate level of SPD so I definitely wouldn't say this is something completely serious, but it does affect my life in a way where I find it difficult building certain relationships that I desire, due to inconsistency. On the inside I'm dying to talk to certain people but on the outside it's like I'm indifferent and I play hot & cold. I want to be more expressive and caring but I don't know what to do. I'm currently looking into trying psychotherapy. Anyone have any advice or experiences that they want to share around this?
  3. Thanks guys There's definitely a chance that I may be overthinking it. It might even just be my introverted nature along with some social anxiety.
  4. Creepy because PUAs might often be viewed as sexual predators. Well, whether you agree or not, they pretty much are sexual predators. It's a bunch of men running around out in public, approaching women and using manipulative language to sleep with them. But of course, similar to what Leo is saying above, without experience one may be more creepier than an experienced smooth-talker PUA. This is coming from someone who used to engage in pickup. I was very inexperienced going into it. I've been labelled a creep, a predator. I've approached a girl in a mall, walked away with her and an employee at a nearby store who saw the approach pulled the girl away from me and told me to leave. I've been kicked out of malls. I quit because of all the social pressure it had on me. Other PUAs in the area were having their photo shared on social media as a warning and I didn't want to be one of them. I didn't want to be labelled as that person who is a creep or a predator. Plus the whole entire game of pickup was destroying me psychologically. Also, I would say looks aren't always what makes a guy seem creepy, it's mainly his behavior around the girl, his approach or his personality. Anyways, I quit all that years ago and spent years unlearning everything when it comes to pickup. I know you have a video that you're sharing here and I haven't watched it but this is what I have to say in response to the title of the thread.
  5. Title says it, share your therapy experience with us I’m thinking of going to therapy myself for specific reasons and I’d like to hear other people’s stories. Was it helpful? Did you go in to seek help for a specific issue you were dealing with or did you go in just for a general issue? In what way has it improved your life?
  6. The most practical way I'd say to get rid of this fear is to take psychedelics. Psychedelics can show you what death is, or at least something potentially similar to it. This should remove your fears about death partially or even completely. LSD showed me the absence of the ego (self). It was the most profound experience I've ever had so far in my life.
  7. Just got my 2nd Pfizer dose yesterday. It's been 21 hours now as I'm writing this, zero side effects other than the usual arm soreness at the injection site. No fatigue, no fever, maybe a little joint & muscle pain but that's about it. I'll probably continue to post here as the week goes by if I notice anything else.
  8. I’m quite impulsive & indecisive with my decisions in life. I don’t know if it’s linked to trauma or if it’s a personality thing but it’s affecting my life in a negative way. Stupid decisions that lead me to losing thousands of dollars. Such as losing thousands of dollars in the financial markets because I’m so impulsive with my trades. Something else I’ve been dealing with for years now is being impulsive with tattoos. I’m so quick to get a new tattoo and regretting it later. I’ve had multiple tattoos done on my left arm then I end up getting it removed. These mistakes has costed me over $13000 now. I just recently got a large tattoo on my forearm and this has lead me to write this thread. I instantly regretted it and now I feel a bit suicidal because I feel so messed up as a person to continue making these mistakes. Tattoo removal is hard to deal with because it takes years and $ to do all that. But one reason for all these tattoo mistakes is because the artist often times doesn’t give a fuck about what you want, they just care about their portfolio for their instagram page. Mentally I was in a pretty good place until I got this tattoo 2 days ago.
  9. Yes thinking of booking a therapy session very soon with a therapist who specializes in healing trauma. I might continue on my spiritual path as well. I've been taking a break from all the spiritual practices such as meditation or psychedelics because I often feel like it interferes with my material goals. Thanks for your response
  10. In terms of the future of my life yes I would say so. I actually don't know what to do with my life, I'm pretty much stuck hopping from job to job. This leads me to chase money outside of a job so I can potentially have the life that I want.
  11. @mandyjw You're right. It's supposed to be a tattoo of a girl & dollar bills in the background. But it's unfinished. Perhaps this tells me that I have a lot of issues with women and money, which is true. I haven't thought of it that way. This wasn't how I originally envisioned my tattoo to be though, a lot of it was influenced by the artist. We came up with the design on the spot which is stupid, now I regret it. I already talked to him about all this and he felt bad.
  12. @mandyjw I don’t see why that’s important, all I’m going to say is that it doesn’t fit my personality which is why it lead to an instant regret
  13. I've never taken out a loan before other than a credit card. I'm trying to figure out what I can do with a loan to create another source of income. I don't see any good reason to take out a loan if it's not going to generate money for you, unless you're in a desperate situation and you take out a loan for a car to get to work for example. Other than that it seems to be a waste of money if you're just paying the bank in interest. What can I do with a $50K-$100K loan, today? I only have less than $5K saved up. Real estate seems to be a good one, although housing prices in my city are overpriced and I don't have the money right now for a down payment. Starting a business is one, although I don't have a business idea and I imagine you'd need some sort of down payment for that one as well. Buying a franchise is one I've been thinking about. e-Commerce? Run a website? Maybe get a loan to start an Amazon business? Buy real estate or start a business in a cheaper city or country? Buy stocks & crypto with a loan? Buy and rent out a car? I'm lost.
  14. @wellbranding I'm sorry to hear that, hope all goes well. I often hear people recommending that physical activity should be avoided 1-2 weeks after taking each dose of the vaccine. Have you done any physical activity immediately after each dose or have you followed this advice?
  15. There's a good chance I might just be overthinking it, I'm looking at Google images and mine looks nothing like the pictures. But I'll check with the doc anyway. I don't mean to fearmonger for anyone reading this. This could be possibly related to the work and long hours I've been doing and not even the vaxx. I just had two days off work and it's gotten a lot better.
  16. Barely anything visible which is why I mentioned that it's potentially just some mild blood clotting. On my right ankle though where one of the veins are, it looks a bit bruised. It's maybe 2 shades darker than my actual skin tone, and when I touch it feels sore, not super painful though. So yeah, not sure if this is serious or not. Will it heal over time, possibly? But I will most likely get it checked to be sure that it's not a potentially serious condition that is in the beginning phases of its development.
  17. If you haven’t seen it I mentioned in a previous post on this thread that I went with the Pfizer shot. And that’s only my first dose. Going to speak to a doctor before I decide to get the second.
  18. It's been 17 days now since I got the first shot and now I'm a little concerned. In the first few days I've been noticing random pulses in the veins of my arms that would last a second or so. Now I'm starting to notice some potential mild blood clotting in my legs. These veins on my legs are slightly sore to the touch, and every little while or so, every time I stand up its like I'm stepping on a vein that blocks the blood in my leg which causes the sore vein to sort of pop out. Not sure if this is serious but I may check with my doctor if this persists. It's been like this for a couple days now. But it's possible that it's not the vaxx because lately I've been working 12-hour shifts with a lot of walking & standing. Anyone experience the same thing?
  19. The nurse who injected me told me that they use a larger dose for Moderna than Pfizer, and that's why there's often reports talking about how Moderna is more effective. So maybe this explains why there's stronger side effects with Moderna. I'm glad I chose Pfizer, I'd rather take a smaller dose
  20. I'm going to look into it some more. Housing prices in my city (Vancouver, BC) though are unaffordable so it's almost impossible to get into real estate out here. I think we're somewhere at the top in the world's most expensive housing market list. Housing in Alberta though is really cheap so if I'm going to get into real estate I'm definitely going down there. I thought last time you were just asking me rhetorical questions for me to contemplate on. But it is true, money for me is the main focus. But like you said I have yet to connect the dots, although I do think I'm getting there. When it comes to the content that I make, I think it's important for me to set the intention of doing it for the benefit of others rather than my own or doing it as a way to try and get quick money. I've definitely been down this road of desperation, trying to make a quick profit but it has never worked out. And the more and more I get burned the more it's starting to become clear for me that this certainly isn't the way, so I'm definitely getting there. Slow and steady.
  21. I'd say both have their pros and cons. A credit loan could be a useful tool for someone who wants to trade but doesn't have the money today so credit gives the option for them to pay in installments. Maybe for example there's a good deal in the market where prices crashed 90% and so they wanted to buy but didn't have the cash on hand so they decide to get a loan. But of course like you pretty much said, they still run the risk of losing all that money then they'd have to pay it all back + interest. So I agree a credit card loan can be an automatic loser, but it's a slow burn of X% per year. If they could find some way to flip that money and become profitable then it could definitely work out. Maybe it won't happen in the stock market but I could see it happening if they know how to flip cars, housing, smartphones, collectibles, etc. Whereas with margin, you don't have to pay back the borrowed money or any interest so in that case it is superior to credit, but you'd need to have your own capital to even begin with. Plus you could lose your initial investment entirely within a single day or hour depending on how much leverage or margin you're using so margin really is playing with fire. And of course their level of risk also depends on whether they're using the loan or margin to make long-term or short-term bets in the market. So whichever financial instrument someone finds superior to the other depends on the person and their situation. Both can be useful tools. Personally though, I'd agree margin is superior to credit. The only situation credit would make sense is to use it as a tool to buy real estate or start a business, or item flipping if they have the skills.
  22. @SLuxy Self sabotage. I've been struggling with something similar over the years. Things go well in terms of my finances, then I lose it all. Things go well with a girl, then I behave in an idiotic needy way that turns them off. I start some sort of endeavor which shows some results, then I drop it completely because of doubts. You're right it could be related to trauma, but personally I think it mainly has more to do with our comfort zone. Wherever our comfort zone is, we're likely to return back to it mentally and/or physically. If someone were to try and permanently move to a foreign country after living in Canada their whole life for example, chances are they'll probably move back to Canada because that's just where their comfort zone is. Same thing happens with what we've got going on here. If it's some sort of business you're working on and you quit, mentally that's the return to what we know or what's "normal" for us. If we've spent several years playing video games and watching porn, then all of a sudden we try something new, self-sabotage will most likely come into play and ruin what we've got going on so that we can go back to playing video games and watching porn. If you've spent your whole life single and you try to date.. You get the point. The most practical thing to do, is to take more action and gain more experiences. If you resonate with what I'm saying here, then I can say that more experiences will help you get you out of your comfort zone, and help create a new "normal" for you. If doing nothing and getting no results is normal for you, then change it and do more. And on top of that, I understand that you're looking for practical solutions but I promise you this one is quite practical as well, be mindful of your self-sabotaging behavior. Notice when it happens, and contemplate it. Developing awareness around this type of behavior will ultimately lead to correction.
  23. Margin trading is sort of different though, that's where you "borrow" money from a broker to magnify your existing capital. I don't see it as literally borrowing money because they don't literally hand you the money. And you could never get to a point where you can lose that "borrowed" money because losses are only limited to 100% of your own capital. So with margin all you're doing is amplifying your gains & losses without literally borrowing money. And yeah it is stupid cause I've traded with margin/leverage before and I've lost a lot of money. But I'm talking about taking out a loan from the bank or using credit card debt to invest for the long-term, not to make short-term trades. I've been thinking about it though these past couple hours, and it's probably not the best idea. Maybe though if I could pay 100% of it off in a short period of time but I think I'm better off just investing my own money over the months with every single paycheck. To be honest though, if market prices get extremely low, buying with credit is a risk that I'd be willing to take. Obviously not now though, prices across all financial markets are way too high.
  24. @Leo Gura If it's going to be a video, maybe mention your age recommendation in the beginning of the video? I'm hoping my previous thread helped shed some light on the fact that there's a few teenagers who watch Leo's content who take psychedelics mainly because of the fact that Leo talks about them. On this thread Leo recommends psychedelics to those who are ages 21+, and there's a 17 year old who admit that he takes psychedelics:
