  1. @outlandish You seem pretty awesome and i bet we would all get along pretty well in real life haha. Where are you from? What kind of trails you got there? I live in a very flat area where this no hills, so we gotta get creative to simulate hill training.
  2. @Igor82 WOOO this made my day! Lets get it! I'm looking forward to seeing your progress, it IS life changing
  3. @outlandish I've talked to Kieran about this off the forum and it's in our top 5 best books as in intro to running theory. I got this book at the beginning of cross country this year, and i plan to implement more of it this Track season for my runners. Especially considering the section on VO2 max. What i plan on doing is having a mile time trial early in the season so i can gather data on my runners and come up with their paces for tempo runs, long runs, easy runs, etc. Right now we are in the off - season base building phase (easy mileage and workouts) and it'll be ramping up till February.
  4. @kingroboto Learning to make vulnerability a strength could be a counter intuitive move.
  5. "Detachment -- counter-intuitively -- heightens your capacity to love." - @Leo Gura @Nahm
  6. @ChrisZoZo Here are a few of them: https://www.actualized.org/insights?p=8
  7. @ChrisZoZo Whether you meditate or not, 10 days is a longer time than one would think. I think it comes down to setting proper expectations. You're going to want to do "something" or else you'll feel like you're going crazy. The key point i want to make is make that "something" worth while, such as cycling your meditation practices or going for a mindful walk. Check out Leo's Solo Retreats in the blog, that'll go into more detail!
  8. @7thLetter My life is based more around the seasons. If its summer, i'll be outside a lot more and either running, biking, and working on my fitness. If it's fall or becoming fall, i spend more time walking and contemplating nearer in the evening time. More questioning what i'm doing and why around that time as well. In terms of minimalism, I always try to declutter and put things away in there correct place. Also, i've gotten rid of most of my stuff that i don't use regularly.
  9. Feeling an emotion fully for what it is instead of suppressing or denying that it exists.
  10. @Charlotte That's @Siim Land
  11. @Wisebaxter Easier said than done, but you get it
  12. @Wisebaxter There are highs and lows in personal development as well. When you're in a "low" heavy emotions will cloud you and you will think something along the lines of "Whats the point?" But this is the opportunity to reconnect with how you felt when you were in love with PD and that feeling of not wanting to go to sleep because there was so much to look into, explore, research.
  13. @Wisebaxter Never let go of that pursuit. Use this feeling as a reference when times get tough!
  14. @Cocolove A film of someone who sees a problem, dedicates their life to improving the situation, and impacting the lives of others in some way that makes the viewer inspired.
  15. @phllip103 This video really helped me slow down throughout the day and really question every action i was doing instead of automatically being in the flow of things, if that makes sense. I used to do activities and then get a little hit of awareness here or there. But now, that "little hit" is a lot more spread out. I guess you could say my intention became more refined with awareness. Coupling this with Leo's "Lifestyle Minimalism" video is a gem.
  16. @phllip103 Dramatically less criticism, debating, and judging. Also, less getting lost in fears, concepts, and imagination.
  17. Day 1: L-Theanine + Caffeine Only been about 2.5 hours since administering. Pretty clear mental clarity and focus. Felt a slight headache for the first 15 minutes upon intake. Will create a 30 day report and post at the end of December.
  18. @blaircooper The survival paradigm reveals itself to you when you're pushed to the extreme. Most people have never pushed themselves to that degree, but those who have got a taste, often get addicted to that. With good reason, it makes us feel more alive than anything else. To answer your question, i believe Ross is an anomaly, however if one wants to push themselves to the max, i do believe that true strength comes from overcoming adversity.
  19. @shammy01 "Damn i really regret that run.." - No one ever
  20. @Elysian Kundalini yoga + pranayama to channel your sexual desires. Practicing mindfulness and building non-sexual intimacy is a good step in the right direction, especially since you said you are working on your intention. At first there will be energetic blocks and inner resistance to creating intimacy in the moment, but as you keep doing your spiritual and emotional work, this will get easier over time. Good luck brother!
  21. @Andreas I think it's more of a primal threat detection system that we evolved to have for looking out for predators lurking in the savanna grasslands.
  22. @Seed Pass me some of that good stuff
  23. @7thLetter By questioning everything to the point where you feel like you're going crazy. You see, the majority hardly question, which is why they do the same thing's over and over (Im not excluding myself from this, we are all a bit insane ) Deconstruct every belief and take no position for granted. How did everything come to be so that you and your family eat at the same place? It's a deeper question than what meets the eye.
