@Marks199 Not sure how this relates to body consciousness... But to answer your question; There IS a correlation between unconsciousness and forgetfulness.. In my experience, i tend to forget when i am identified with the mind, or when i am having lots of thoughts happening in a row or when i feel extremely rushed. This can be remedied by slow, deliberate, mindful action.

@Rigel Great job! How did you deal with the resistance that came up throughout the days leading up to day 21?

Sahil Pandit replied to Pouya's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Pouya Slowing down and reconnecting with "be" ing. Perhaps when you're with friends, find a common ground that relates to spirituality or beauty. Example: "Check out those beautiful colors of that cloud/sky" or... express your appreciation for something and reconnect with your Self. -

@Anton_Pierre Check out the book list. There's a book about Kundalini on there. -
@electroBeam I was doing this for a while, and it was cool! But it became a distraction. Astral Projection is great for realize that facade of a "materialistic" universe. I would reccomend using it to opening and cleansing your chakras, especially your third eye. Astral Projection is great for cleaning out the subconscious mind as well as purging through/ experiencing past experiences. Are you keeping a journal about your experiences in the astral realms?

It's important to learn from the difficult times that life sometimes brings upon you. Those are the days you really have to watch over yourself and care for yourself as if you were someone worth looking out for. When you take care of your own needs, then you can expand out to help others... but when you're not okay, nothing is seems to be okay. Mental health, emotional health, physical health, happiness levels all need to be monitored often.

@MM1988 Keeping the energy is better for you, in the long run. You can use that energy to awaken your kundalini or open up chakras higher up your spine. -

@Big Guru Balls My first awakening was SOOO similar to this GIF. -
1.) Learning more theory, as well as expanding previous knowledge. 2.) Contemplation of important self development concepts 3.) Meditation/Mindfulness/ Being... (Less and less thought identification) 4.) A daily health care routine covering all areas of (Physical) Health - ( teeth care, skin care, strength training, etc) 5.) Optimizing your schedule - Micro and Macro. 6.) Life Purpose - Embodying top 10 Strengths and Values 7.) Emotional Mastery - removing neurosis, becoming more love. 8.) Relationships - becoming more vulnerable and authentic 9.) Developing selflessness (once your basic survival needs are met.) 10.) Becoming a better communicator, a mentor, a teacher. TEACHING people based on where they are at

I really enjoy Shinzen Young. Easily my favorite mindfulness teacher.

@Riyaazbasha Start where are you at. Look around you. What could you improve? What could you make better? How could you optimize your surroundings? Here is some things you could do to get started: 1.) Buy a journal and place it near your bed or your desk. 2.) Sit for 20 minutes and just BE (Meditation) 3.) Exercise and take care of your body and diet; aka clean up your fridge. 4.) Sit down with pen and paper and write down some goals you have in mind. Pretty much start with whatever is most comfortable for you. From there, start doing those things more often and get some momentum going for your self. Also, check out Leo's book list. There are some essentials on there.

@Alex i admire your decision to make this happen.

Spring Break for me starts tonight, once my night class is done... but i've already been taking action on making it one full of consciousness work. Some of the traps i've encountered when it comes to having time off of school: 1.) Minimize socializing time/ "hanging out" with friends. This is going to be pretty easy, as most of my friends know i'm focused and i tend to stay in my lane, and they respect that. 2.) Reduce clutter and take minimalism to the next level. I am going to take out the clothes i don't need and either sell them or do a Good Will run in a couple of days once i can clean out my closet. It's been causing some issues, and it's not easy to walk in there... so it's about time i take action on that. 3.) I have plans on waking up early (7AM). I know for sure i'll be able to do this because i have plans set up to go for a 30-40 minute easy tempo run with one of my friends. So, after that i'll have some more motivation to wake up early. 4. The main bulk of my Spring Break - reading, contemplating, BEING, journaling, and meditation Also, i will be studying for my classes about 2 hours a day, since i have some thicc exams when i come back. More to come.
