@Rilles That's a good realization to have. Better than lying to yourself. -
Sahil Pandit replied to Rilles's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Rilles I felt exhausted, my emotions were not the best, because i was drowning my ego in "Do Nothing". It wanted to be distracted, to do SOMETHING but i forced myself to sit down with no distractions and just Be for a while. So later that day i felt tired, kinda sad, etc (I wasn't actually sad, but the ego was trying to make me feel sad so i would give myself a dopamine rush ) sneaky guy.. -
Sahil Pandit replied to Rilles's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Rilles Sounds good. Last week i did 2 meditation sits and some holotropic breath work and that night i almost had an ego backlash and my body needed extra rest that night. So expect something like that to occur after working on yourself. Set proper expectations. -
Sahil Pandit replied to Rilles's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Rilles If you have hidden trauma, a suppressed shadow, or any shadow blockages of any kind that you're aware of. After you do shadow work, you're most likely gonna be exhausted... because you need time to heal, recuperate, and integrate what you purged through. So, timeline for this? As long as you need to heal. -

Sahil Pandit replied to Flatworld Crusades's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Flatworld Crusades Cultivating energy through rest, relaxation and Being. I notice that i have different energy based on the seasons i'm in in life. If i am meditating, doing Kriya yoga, and focusing on minimalism, my energy feels a whole lot different when i'm out and about socializing, going for a long run or putting myself out there in social situations. I like to think about it like the yin-yang symbol. You want to cultivate both, and explore both of them deeply -

@traveler The Guru Principle - Never worship the human; Instead, realize that the "Guru" is within.

If you have not taken the MBTI - start here: https://www.16personalities.com/free-personality-test For those of you who have taken the test, how are you utilizing your strengths and facing/working your weaknesses? Here is a personal example: As an INFJ, i tend to use coping mechanisms such as designating a later time to process a complex situation or idea I want to deepen. This is often an intuitive experience, so I quickly text myself to remember it for later. Then, when i am not around people, i like to analyze how the situation i was in could have gone better/what i could have done to improve it.

Here is what i did today so far: 20 minutes of "do nothing" in the morning to wake up. 10 minutes of shamanic breathing 20 minutes of Kriya. Most likely going to do one more session of Kriya before bed. But i'm feeling very tired, and i can feel a potential ego backlash. This work can be exhausting at times... Oh well, another couple sessions in the bag. More to come tomorrow.

@kev014 i dare you to shave your head, or at least shave it down to the point where you have very little hair on your head. You'll feel crazy while shaving it, as your mind tries to hold on to past identity, lol. But once you have it, you'll feel different about yourself and who you thought you were.

@Yahya Speaking to a school counselor and having a mentor in real life can help. Someone you can go to for help, whether that be school related or not, is a gem at that age. Find a mentor.

@luqqzr Smoothies, shakes, and juices. Smoothies - there are tons of recipes you can make, while adding a healthy protein source. Shakes - supplement these for some meals a couple times a week. Example: Banana shake! 2-3 bananas, some almond milk, cinnamon, and a hand full of almonds. (serve chilled) This shake makes me feel amazing for 3-5 hours. ESPECIALLY if i'm in a fasted state. Juice - Make your own juice. A LOT of juices from the store have extra sugar added to them. I usually drink a small amount of apple juice after a long run. It tastes heavenly right after a hard workout!

Sahil Pandit replied to Stoica Doru's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Stoica Doru Backsliding can become the norm when you feel like the momentum is on the wrong side. If we were to think about it's polar opposite, i would think of momentum pushing us from behind and moving us forward. Question to consider throughout the day: How can i forward momentum in this area of life? (Ex: Health, focus, organization skills, productivity, etc.) -
Sahil Pandit replied to Derek White's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Derek White I have had this on my mind (HAHAHA) for a very long time and am so glad you have wrote a post about it! I wasn't sure if something was wrong with me, or i was numb, or just aware. It's hard to find people who can relate to being able to rest in "thoughtlessness". I agree with you on the addiction part. It's VERY addicting if you get a taste of how good it feels. Here's how i think it works: 1.) You get a vision about 'no mind' 2.) You spend lots of time watching the mind/meditating until it becomes still 3.) You learn how to stay 'still' 4.) Stillness becomes addicting and you find it more pleasurable than thinking. 5.) The lines between necessary thinking and "a thought" begin to blur and you're not sure how to go about it.. THANK you once again for this post. ... now it's time to build my thoughts up again, but with the right words. -
Great entries, everyone! Here are 5 right off the top of my head: 1.) Starting a meditation Habit 2.) Deciding to be okay with being weird/ not "normal" 3.) Becoming a Lifestyle Minimalist 4.) Removing Toxic relationships 5.) Improving my health habits! @ajasatya i choose u to go next.

Sahil Pandit replied to sausagehead's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@sausagehead Begin by emptying your stomach. Fast for a day and see how it feels to have little to no food in your stomach. Then, mindfully watch your thoughts, emotions, your egoic reactions, etc. You'll start to see the depths of how much work it yet to be done. -
Sahil Pandit replied to zunnyman's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@zunnyman Shamanic Breathing is great for opening up chakras and moving Prana up the spine. There's a shamanic breathing mega thread, have you checked that out? Also, here is a PDF about shamanic breathing/Holotropic Breath work : http://www.dipsu.dk/Holotropic Breathwork by Stanislav Grof, MD.pdf -

I've been reading one of the Coaching books from Leo's book list and i highly reccomend you check it out. Also, i've been doing Kriya 2-3 times a day. Feels amazing. If you don't have a meditation routine in place, you're missing out!
