  1. Long term solution: Study the spiral dynamics series. Looks like the employer exhibits stage Orange behaviour, while the organisers are probably Green. Short term solution: Act as a bridge between the two. Remind the employer that the goal of the organisation is much bigger than these small issues. Remind the organisers how important they are for the mission and how much positive impact they can make with you. Reduce confrontation between the two by being the filter. Please hire someone to work on the social media. Your organisation clearly needs a PR person.
  2. Dr. Martin Ball's marriage is coming to an end. In his latest podcast, he discusses his relationship and their struggles to maintain a conscious and loving relationship. Martin also outlines how the ego jumps at these opportunities to tighten its grip on his fears around survival and relationships. P.S.: In addition to this, Martin also lost his job (Coronavirus) and will soon have to move out of his house. If you can and wish, please support him (donations, buying his books, booking consultations. etc.). https://www.podomatic.com/podcasts/entheogenic/episodes/2020-05-25T13_29_12-07_00
  3. A well made documentary. Thanks for sharing
  4. Looks like a Zen devil ?
  5. I was in a similar situation as you last month. What helped me was writing down my intentions for the trip a week before the trip. I also tried completing other tertiary tasks before that date so that I had no excuses left on the day.
  6. To be fair, intimate relationships pose a big challenge when it comes to being conscious and mastering emotions. There's no other place where 'all the shit comes out' and nothing is good enough. It's pretty difficult to put things on autopilot and be immersed in being. Many enlightened masters choose to remain celibate. I wonder what would happen to a Zen master if he were in an intimate relationship with a woman that can't go an hour without any drama.
  7. Someone posted this on Facebook yesterday https://spokojenezeny.cz/agata-z-brna-21-spim-s-dedou-62-sve-kamaradky-kdyz-na-to-prisla-ztropila-mi-scenu-co-se-delo-dal-to-alice-nikdy-neprekousla/
  8. You don't need to do the challenge. Just being exposed to this information and this perspective will change how you act under such situations in the future
  9. @JessiChell Be a Manta Ray!
  10. Pretty accurate. The love, caring, and non-judgemental acceptance among the retreat members is phenomenal. Octavio himself is pretty fun as a person and has handled a myriad of situations with his clients. It is highly unlikely that he won't have an idea as to what should be done in a given situation. And of course, the most significant positive is that he is making this medicine more accessible to a lot of people, including those in Europe.
  11. I smoked the toad venom under Octavio's guidance in 2018. Yes, tbh, he is a very politically incorrect guy. When I told him that my intention for the trip was to understand what God is, he started laughing at me. He shouts at and kicks people (men) whose ego has resurfaced amidst the trip and have begun fighting the experience. He also flirts with the women who smoke (or are about to) the venom. However, to be fair to him, he does seem to intuitively weigh in how he should handle a situation before acting. When my ego resurfaced, he tried talking and negotiating with me because he knew that would be the best way. It is hilarious when I watch the recorded clip now. He also genuinely cares about people. My biggest problems with his method were: He had way too many people signed up for the experience. So as soon as someone's trip was underway, he would leave them with a friend and move on to the next person. A shaman is supposed to be there with you all along the way. He has a tobacco extract called rapé, which he blows in people's noses using a pipe. He often used it after the 5-MeO trips, and that cut the trips short for many people. Even in my case, it buzzed me and made me puke, but it also made me sober up and ended my 5-MeO trip. He uses a very high dose at the onset. Several people at the retreat (including me) experienced whiteouts and didn't remember much of the trip. Very few people got to do a second trip afterward. I have seen several people doing bilateral symmetry yoga on the toad. I did it for a large portion of the trip. For me, there was no difference between the synthetic drug and the toad venom in terms of bilateral symmetry.
  12. Why have you been working at the 9-5? Chances are, it wasn't your life purpose, but there were elements of it that you enjoyed. Plus, you were probably good at what you did. Think about how you can use your skills for a better purpose. If you want to be world-class at what you do, some simple advice like do whatever you feel like may be a huge trap. I would recommend instead to find a good balance between your skills and your ambitions. And yes, limiting beliefs are an issue. But you decide whether you want to hold yourself back or take the leap. 36 is too old if you wish to enter into professional sports or something physically demanding. It may be challenging if you want to start out with a completely blank slate and still support your family and its lifestyle. But other than that, what else do you have to lose? Start taking small risks and expand your comfort zone. Just my 2 cents
  13. A friend of mine had serious depression issues. He even tried hurting himself and has contemplated suicide. These are some of the things that helped him: Getting a dog, cat, or any pet. It makes you responsible and gives you a taste of non-judgemental love and caring. Pick up a hobby in your free time, like painting, dancing, music. There should be no pressure to get better; this should be purely for fun. Talk with at least one friend very honestly and openly about the problems. Cut out all content that causes anxiety and sadness: Social media, TV, News. At least for a few weeks. Cheers!
  14. This has been answered pretty thoroughly in the 2 part series on Survival
  15. You aren't attracted to him. You're attracted to an abstract idea in your head. You don't even know what he is like now. If you've been self actualising, you'll be a much better person than what you were 6 years ago. I would advise to meet up with him, be really mindful and present. You'll find that your idea of him and reality don't really match up. You may find that you're no longer attracted to him. Just my two cents.
  16. Why not do a Bufo Alvarius retreat somewhere else in Europe?
  17. I've been working with Neural Networks in college and it is fascinating to see computers learn things and recognise patterns that until now, only animals (with millions of years of evolution under their belt) could. Perhaps this will eventually lead to machines developing an ego in the long run, who knows? As far as making the technology that Elon Musk talks about available to the masses is concerned, I see two issues: - The Government will be reluctant to let people access a technology that could help people in outsmarting the Government; unless Government gets to track peoples' thoughts or something, but that's another can of worms - The private sector will want to explore and exploit this for themselves as much as possible. Maybe eventually we will have a setup/process of sorts that boosts the natural release of 5-MeO or a chip that can help with accessing different states of consciousness by altering brain chemistry. The possibilities are endless.
  18. It's not about a fair critique, it's about how a person who never ventures into spirituality would view Actualized.org @Nahm Yes, you should read the comments under his video. And considering that a huge chunk of the world population is at stage Blue, this is exactly how they would interpret what Leo says. @Extreme Z7 It's really difficult to search if something has already been posted Wait until he finds out about rectal plugging @Swagala
  19. I saw bits of the interview today after a friend shared it with me. There's substantial fear mongering (although I'm open to their assertions being true). I don't see any radical call to action here. In fact, towards the end, Icke spoke about Love and Consciousness.
  20. I'm a Mechanical engineer. About 2 years ago, I decided to leave my job, go back to college, and get a Masters Degree. Being concerned about climate change and lack of sustainable engineering, I seriously considered getting into the field of Renewable Energy Technology. I really dug deep everywhere on the internet and spoke with a few people working in various industries. I also had a conversation with my former professor whose research dealt with renewable energy. The overwhelming feedback I got was that Renewable Energy Technologies (Solar, Wind, Geothermal, so on) are not the magic pill solutions that get portrayed in public. We cannot replace conventional fossil fuels with Solar/Wind and sustain the same energy demand. One person went as far as advising me that Renewable Energy Technology is a relatively saturated field and there isn't much to do other than keep on improving the efficiency marginally and improve the power to weight ratio. Nuclear Energy has the true potential to usher in a carbon-neutral energy economy, but its public perception is so skewed that Governments are too afraid to introduce it. Based on this feedback, I decided to stay away from the field and I don't regret it.
  21. Isn't human society itself a conspiracy? Egos coming together to create an illusion of physical material reality.
